The capacity for venues varies depending on what they are being utilized for. For example, the softball stadium only holds 1000 for softball because (obviously) the entire playing field is not available. For a jumbotron video event like this, where you can put chairs on the field, the capacity is much greater; probably double. Same for soccer.

Yeah. Let the smartest school “in the room” do the talking. VT couldn’t finish a sentence.

The season was originally suppose to start this weekend but we must wait a few more weeks for the return of Liberty football.

In the mean time, Jon Manson has been hard at work with his annual position previews

POSITION PREVIEW: OFFENSIVE LINE

POSITION PREVIEW: CORNERS

POSITION PREVIEW: SAFETIES

POSITION PREVIEW: SPECIAL TEAMS

POSITION PREVIEW: RUNNING BACKS

Trump just said he's had meetings with the Big10 to get their season up and running. Says it could happen.

As for LU. We will be part of a crowded slate of games on the ESPN family of networks.
Crowded? Perhaps. Any good games? Nope.

I read somewhere that B10 was trying to get ACC, Big 12 and SEC to delay their seasons. I hope these 3 conferences told B10 , "where they can go". (hint, it ain't up)

Glad that the first LU game will be on ESPNU. I really hope they get to play this season, as it likely presents an opportunity for LU to get far more broadcast/cable air time than normal.

A few years ago I don't think I pictured LU being on cable while ACC teams were left to live-stream their game.

Also sounds like some kind of rotation so more get to see at least one game. I could be wrong. I might just roll my tickets over to the 2021 season. :(
You are correct. We rolled our tickets to next year. Hoping for at least two games. Of course more if restrictions are loosened. I was told today that they are looking at 2,4 and, 6 ticket packages at 25 dollars a ticket.
That I am not a fan of because we will be 3. At the same time I dislike the rotation I do think it is a good plan in an attempt not to alienate future fandom. I like that rolling over the tickets to next year one does not lose the season ticket yearly run.
We rolled our package over. However, they were quick to ask for Flames Club level renewal for next year. I was driving at the time they phoned so I just had to promise to renew my level before the next year. OBTW, I still have not seen my 2020 Flames club packet. Have they not been sent out yet?

I am not sure what they are doing with the family of players. It would interesting to hear what they are doing with suites and such. Are they considered part of the outdoor attendance?

Just got off the phone with the Perky Flames Club fella-
Season tickets are no more (he said from some level on down)
You can roll them over to next year and lock in the price ( I did that) ask for a full refund or just let the school have it as a donation
Each game they will start calling 10 days out based on priority to the roughly 2k season ticket holders affected and offer tickets at $25/ per person. Once they hit that number they stop calling
If the Governor opens up more so will they.
There are a set amount of tix set aside for visiting team and students

Basically if you don’t ha e season tickets this year you probably won’t see a game

They will probably more than make up for no band or crowd, with LOUD music.

I'm hoping juniors replacement turns the volume down on that little when things return to normal

I do to, but I'm having a hard time being heard by the person setting directly beside me an hour before kickoff.

Interesting the Flames Club priority listing is no longer on my account.
My guess is that is changing rapidly with those that donate this years season tickets and those that do not. The Flames Club site only list 400 some members. My guess is if one is a Flames Club member 2 games should be a reality and maybe 3?

Pregame music is for students who have to be in the stadium early to get their seat and for the players. Most regular fans don’t have a true reason to get in the stadium until 15 minutes pregame.

The guy I talked to this week said there should be a pretty good chance of getting tickets to "several games", so i'm thinking your assessment is accurate. He said there will be a call to members about 10 days out. I'm hoping the restrictions are loosened later in the season to allow for more fans. I am also hopeful we can have the opportunity to get tickets to Coastal....we are planning on attending that game if they are allowing fans.
