With the NFL saying they had 77 false positives it seems like it’s just arbitrary now

#Risewithus posted that Matt Terell, a DE/LB is on the roster. Originally committed to Virginia and was 3 STARS. Would be a JUCO transfer. Is this accurate?

A few updated articles from A Sea of Red

First, the USA Today as updated our ranking to No 62 in the nation

LIBERTY RANKED NO. 62 IN USA TODAY’S RE-RANK OF ALL FBS TEAMS
By: Jon Manson

USA Today ranks all FBS teams from 1-130, but with several teams and conferences opting out of a fall 2020 football season, they have updated their rankings.

Their revised rankings have 54 teams removed from the list as there are just 76 teams who are currently planning on a fall season.

Secondly, we have been projected to play in the Bahamas Bowl By CBS

LIBERTY PROJECTED TO PLAY IN THE BAHAMAS BOWL
By: Jon Manson

As the 2020 season gets closer, many analysts have begun releasing their bowl projections. CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm projects Liberty to make a bowl for the second consecutive season. His current projection has Liberty playing Florida Atlantic in the Bahamas Bowl on Dec. 20 in Nassau.

Attendance capped at 1,000

Here is the story:

WILLIAMS STADIUM LIMITED TO 1,000 IN ATTENDANCE FOR 2020 SEASON
By: Jon Manson
Flames Club wrote: “Under the Governor’s Phase III guidelines, there remains a maximum crowd limit of 1000 person for outdoor events,” the email stated. “While we are hopeful that prior to the start of the season this limit will be increased, we need to move forward with a plan under this requirement.”

There's not much LU can do unless our governor changes his mind. I am wondering if, for the students, LU could set up screens in the baseball and softball fields, each with 1,000 seats marked off and have a live video feed of the game. These wouldn't be people attending an event. They'd just be students gathering on campus. And open the concession stands at the baseball and softball fields for them. I don't think that would be violating any rules.

Can we erect a Jerry Jr. statue just to tear it down? :pbjtime
I was going to make that suggestion, but I have already posted something else, in a humorous way, that was borderline very mean. 8)

I don’t mind the “who” we play or even the 10 game scenario - just feel like we missed a lot of exposure by not playing week 1. BYU may break their Most watched game in history Record vs Navy...

Thought they were canceling all GA season tickets, but it sounds like they are canceling all season tickets and everyone will be required to buy single game tickets based on membership level, priority points. Also sounds like some kind of rotation so more get to see at least one game. I could be wrong. I might just roll my tickets over to the 2021 season. :(

I had originally planned on making it to a game for the 3rd year in a row but it looks like that won't be happening. Even if the opened up more seating, I'm still on a 100 miles restriction which I don't see changing anytime soon. Such is life I guess.

Of course if the B1G and other leagues start their spring season in November as is being discussed then the number of team who could fill bowl slots increases.

In light of the 1000 limit, I think the plan Ian announced to address how season tickets will be handled is about as good as they can do. It does not say anything about students, and it looks like they will be an extremely limited part of the in stadium game day experience if they are included at all. I hope they look into what you suggested. They could probably seat 1000 at the baseball stadium. Softball only seats 500 without any social distancing, but they could probably set up folding chairs on the field to get to 1000. They could do the same with the soccer facility, and that would have the extra advantage of being close enough for the fan noise from each of the 2 venues to be heard at the other. Split up the band and have a "pep band on steroids" at each site.

I do wonder if they could somehow break the stadium in two to get to 2000. If you could enforce a barrier, they could be two independent crowds. Students on their side, no able to infect or be infected by the Baptist side.

The phase 3 rule is 1,000 or 50% capacity of the outdoor venue. So Williams Stadium could have 1,000. The baseball field could have 1,000. But soccer and softball would be limited to 500 (50 percent stadium capacity).

But still, I think they should look into these things and try and allow as many students to see the games with their friends socially distanced.

It's 50% capacity or 1000, whichever is the least. Although, I don't know the capacity of the soccer and softball stadiums.

I do hope that Liberty is partnering with UVA and Tech in asking the Governor to allow a greater fan attendance for football. The minimum should be the 20-30% capacity that most ACC and SEC schools are allowing.
