It’s not that they are both involved in Conservative Politics but it is HOW they became involved. Sr had a way of making his enemies his friends (or at least respect him) but Junior has the opposite effect. He has away of making his friends his enemies and make it difficult to respect himthepostman wrote: ↑May 30th, 2020, 4:51 pmApples and oranges. Doc was a "pastor" and chancellor. JR is a "christain lay person", lawyer and chancellor. I would be willing to bet my last dollar Doc would be very pleased with both his politics and his leadership.TH Spangler wrote: ↑May 30th, 2020, 4:04 pm Either some here are stupid or just disingenuous. The tweet obviously points to the governors past racial sensitivity. The Lieutenant governor has a major Me Too issue. This has nothing to do with govenor, as I've mentioned before. If I were in Virginia, I wouldn't even think about voting for him.![]()
You guys crack me up praising Doc all the time and then knocking junior for involvement in politics. Jr's doesn't come close to Doc's![]()
I am very familiar with Jerry Sr and remember how he was quick to apologize if he got carried away. I remember how many friends he had on the opposite side of aisle and how highly the staff spoke of him. Those are the things I remember and respected most about Sr. I miss him.
Jerry Jr doesn't apologize, in fact he almost always double downs. If you can't remove politics out of this conversation then I'm not sure we are talking about the same thing.
