That was the ammount to host the playoff game, correct ?

I was curious if we ever learned a dollar ammount for them to buy out of the Game Scheduled for 2015.

Liberty won't (nor has to really) post the exact number for the buyout, but it would have to be a significant number, since this wasn't the first time they tried to postpone/get out of the game

Let's not hold our breath for that one. They're going to keep putting it off and putting it off until they have to pay us. They're not coming back to Lynchburg.

I agree! That sorta deal smells like hot trash. It actually sounds like we're trying to be kind up front, for a deal on the back end ..... Hahahaha... are they giving us some sorta sunbelt presidents free massage(will tell the sunbelt school presidents we like you guys cut us a break. Since clearly they're all in love with JMU) ??

Especially if its JMU and their fan base is already upset about the ammount of money we have cost them this fiscal year.

JMU dominated this series, and they cold hold it over us in the recruiting arms race...now that they not only lost money on that game, but they lost the game to us outright, they no doubt would rather not lose to us again.

its an attempt to save what little face they have either way. They lost to us in their place and barely beat us on their last 2 trips to our place.

To the school as a whole, no it's not a lot. However, to JB & Co., I believe it's probably a good little portion, especially considering the way the money can be used being that it was earned by the Athletics department and not given to them as a subsidy.

Hating them makes playing them more fun, that's kind of how rivalries are supposed to work. Ignoring a good FCS school that's within a 2 hour drive of the campus wouldn't be a good idea for ANY athletic department, let alone one who is trying to prove they're worthy of FBS.

By your logic Alabama and Auburn should never play. Duke and UNC should never play. Basically, no rivalry game should be played
