USA Today ranks all FBS teams from 1-130, but with several teams and conferences opting out of a fall 2020 football season, they have updated their rankings.
Their revised rankings have 54 teams removed from the list as there are just 76 teams who are currently planning on a fall season.
As the 2020 season gets closer, many analysts have begun releasing their bowl projections. CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm projects Liberty to make a bowl for the second consecutive season. His current projection has Liberty playing Florida Atlantic in the Bahamas Bowl on Dec. 20 in Nassau.
Flames Club wrote: “Under the Governor’s Phase III guidelines, there remains a maximum crowd limit of 1000 person for outdoor events,” the email stated. “While we are hopeful that prior to the start of the season this limit will be increased, we need to move forward with a plan under this requirement.”

I am wondering if, for the students, LU could set up screens in the baseball and softball fields, each with 1,000 seats marked off and have a live video feed of the game. These wouldn't be people attending an event. They'd just be students gathering on campus. And open the concession stands at the baseball and softball fields for them. I don't think that would be violating any rules. In light of the 1000 limit, I think the plan Ian announced to address how season tickets will be handled is about as good as they can do. It does not say anything about students, and it looks like they will be an extremely limited part of the in stadium game day experience if they are included at all. I hope they look into what you suggested. They could probably seat 1000 at the baseball stadium. Softball only seats 500 without any social distancing, but they could probably set up folding chairs on the field to get to 1000. They could do the same with the soccer facility, and that would have the extra advantage of being close enough for the fan noise from each of the 2 venues to be heard at the other. Split up the band and have a "pep band on steroids" at each site.
jimflamesfan wrote: ↑August 31st, 2020, 10:36 pm The phase 3 rule is 1,000 or 50% capacity of the outdoor venue. So Williams Stadium could have 1,000. The baseball field could have 1,000. But soccer and softball would be limited to 500 (50 percent stadium capacity). It's 50% capacity or 1000, whichever is the least. Although, I don't know the capacity of the soccer and softball stadiums.
But still, I think they should look into these things and try and allow as many students to see the games with their friends socially distanced.
