K states coach is getting pretty vocal about wanting the big 12 to drop down to 8 conference games and play an extra G5 game so everyone will have inflated records similar to the SEC. I guarantee he's not the only one. 16 more P4/G5 matchups a year would be nice.

Speaking of inflated records, see Big 10 Conference. Check their strength of schedules, compared to SEC schedules. Indiana was ranked 5th before they lost to Ohio State, their SOS was 103. It's evident the playoff selection committee doesn't look at SOS. All P5 conferences need to play more G5 games and even throw in a FCS game.
