Update: According to a Liberty University athletic department official, the Liberty football program does have some “COVID concerns” and has been in communication with Coastal Carolina officials. The Flames are conducting their regular COVID testing this week and did hold a regular team practice Wednesday morning. The University will not confirm any specific reports about positive test results on individuals.

These rumors, whether confirmed or not, should have been kept TOP SECRET. I heard some rumors yesterday myself, but I ignored them and did not repeat them to anyone.

Another thought, if Willis tested positive, how have the other QB's not been in close contact and would be sacked due to proximity measures. I don't see CCU being comfortable with playing the game with what they have ahead of them.

Come on 2020. LU sports was the only healthy thing left! Guess I need to start looking for a Saturday tee time...
Less than 1% chance. You take away the dual threat at QB away and the defense becomes much better.

There are some things that simply should not be put on social media, and this is one of them. It's really nobody's business outside of locker room at this time.

I don't think CCU is interested in playing BYU. It would expose how overrated they are. I do not believe they could stay close to BYU. We couldn't either.

FIFY--the Herd's game was canceled because because UNCC has COVID. And everybody with a truck in WV knows where MB is. 8)

Great quote from the Coastal message board:

"Liberty needs to call Pfizer! We want Willis!"

Have to disagree. It would hurt our chances greatly (obviously) but we had terrible QB play against NC State and still had every chance to win that game. Our D held them to 13 points (Lowest of their season by 9 points) without the aid of a ball control offense. Our D matches up well against mobile QB's and the multiple set looks that CCU would give us.

That Troy game is getting cancelled already because it’s useless. There’s no upside for Coastal to take the risk playing us off a covid outbreak before playing the Sun Belt championship game. If they beat Louisiana again and Cincinnati loses to Tulsa in the AAC championship game, Coastal gets the NY6 bid. With those stakes, you don’t take on a meaningless Liberty game.

I was obviously speaking of CCU's defense, not ours. How does no Malik make our defense "much better"?
So far, every time we have changed QB's in a game, we have become dramatically worse every time. I understand the sample is very small, which isn't good either.

By the 1980's look of it I am not signing up just to troll.
Yaknow, of all the fan smack out there, insulting a guy who pays for a message board out of his own pocket so his school's fan base has somewhere to talk about their team is probably the weakest, most idiotic smack talk I think I've ever heard.

You guys stay classy, and thanks for the reminder of why I stay away from your message board.
