Anyone caught drinking alcohol on campus should be banned from campus for life. Drinking on campus shows a disrespect to the university. One can go to a football game and not drink. I have probably been to as many, if not more football games than anyone on this board. I have never consumed alcoholic beverages on a campus.
(just my opinion. I know most people probably don't agree)
It's not that we may not agree. We disagree with your delivery. Bold is poor delivery that will make people resent you. Underlined is a coherent thought that is the beginning of a reasoned argument.
Let's get theological!
CHRISTIAN LIBERTY
I think we can conclude that the consumption of alcohol would be a sin for ballcoach15. Then don't do it.
I think we can also conclude that the consumption of
some alcohol is not necessarily a sin for some on this board. Do or don't.
The Bible tells us not to gorge ourselves. And even Jesus when performing his first miracle didn't only stop at turning water into wine, he turned it into a fine or aged wine! Let's also not forget that wine was passed at the Last Supper. For the same reason the Catholic Church is looking to rephrase "Lead us not into temptation" it is important to know that GOD WILL NOT TEMPT US. The turning of water to wine and passing wine at the last supper cannot then be temptations.
As with all things, the sin lies in the heart of the sinner, not in the object being used to sin.
