Has anyone else hit that wall of "Ok, I've been home long enough, let's get everyone back to Lynchburg" yet? I can tell I've been in King a week because I'm starting to feel it pretty bad. One week here is my limit. Are any of the other students feeling it?

Yeah I know what you mean, it's great to be back home (PA) but I miss my friends already. I can't wait to get back and see everyone again. I didn't think I would miss Liberty because there is nothing to do down there, its the people that make it great to be there. The weird part is I'm actually looking forward to starting the second semester.

Yea, I was lucky to go back to Lynchburg for a couple days.

Everything here has gotten old.

I miss being five minutes from anything I need and my friends. Now the closest person I even somewhat hang out with here is 30 minutes away.

That 3-5 days when everyone is back in town and classes haven't started are always a very fun time. Lynchburg is fun with your friends there.

By the way, welcome to the board externo, even though you joined in October.

I hear ya SJ...I love being home and seeing my family, but I will be ready to get back...though I am coming back to the burg much earlier then most which makes it kind of boring, but whatever...

I'm going up Saturday to move out of the apartment and into the house, and then I'll be back here for a couple days. I'll probably head back to Lynchburg by the 5th at the latest.

Lynchburg is rather enjoyable when the students aren't here. So, don't hurry back.

I'm kidding. This place can get pretty dull when students are gone for too long. Christmas time is a nice break, but by the end of summer break, I'm ready to see some life around here.

What church was that? How much of King did you pass through, and by that, I mean how many gas stations, fast food joints, and auto parts stores did you see?

I was at Antioch Methodist. Everything kinda looked the same everywhere but I do remember passing a sign that said King city/town limits at one point on our way to somewhere.

No, classes don't start back until the 22nd.

The university decided to start a week later (classes start 1/22) so we can hold graduation on our own week. Last year, all four colleges shared the same grad date...
...was a mess around town...
...not a hotel room to be found.
Now, LU is on their own and the decision actually has resulted in some good will in the community...
...now there will be two huge weekends for hotels and restaurants.

I would rather come back a week earlier, thus getting out a week earlier in the spring. Christmas break is to long!

I agree completely. A lot of schools are starting back next week. I would've rather done that and have exams done by the first week of May. Now we're getting out the 3rd week of May.
