Arguably the worst team in college football rolls into town at 0–2—and, of course, they’re on the Flames’ schedule. What a signature win this could be! The only real question: Can the Flames cover the 28-point spread? Mr Obvious correct the team mistakes after the lose at JMU

Yeah, our old Big South rivals are a mess right now. Let's build some positive muscle memory and then focus on Ball State.

I'd like us to use this game to run more option plays, especially getting Purdie involved in the run game. He has to be more 2 dimensional for this team to loosen up the middle of the defense and give our playmakers a greater chance to make the plays that keeps the defense guessing more (i.e. not be so predictable).

I think we need to tell GW that we are planning to run the ball up the middle every down and force our OL to toughen up and find their mettle. These guys need to find their mental fortitude and nastiness soon, or this is going to be a long year.

Hopeful to see a blow-out, but I expect once (IF) a comfortable lead is established...JC pulls back on the reins. Not that we have many examples of him having 'comfortable leads', but generally that's what he's done. Considering the opponent...I expect a lot of vanilla play calling again, which might be understandable in this case. Should be a fun, easy win. Excited to be back on the mountain again this year!
