And I think Medic has been paying a bit more attention to the Eagles than somebody sitting in Virginia.
Medic - Have you learned to love hating Josh Innes there on the WIP as much as we did in Houston?
You realize who was Oregon's OC during Bellotti's last two years correct? When Kelly took over as head coach, they finished in the top 5 in three of four seasons and never missed a BCS bowl. Bellotti made them competitive, Chip made them a power.
I know are you aren't actually that obtuse to believe that someone has more knowledge of a professional sports team or a coach based on living closer to the team. If anything, being an Eagle's fan just proves bias...not objectivity.
If I'm wrong, show me something real. Telling me to listen to Philly sports radio, calling me a troll or telling me that I live in Virginia, doesn't cut it.
He got fired
His teams got worse every year
He probably isn't an NFL coach. Nothing wrong with that. Nick Saban and Lou Holtz weren't either
Who cares that he got fired? Want a list of people who have been fired?
Bill Belichick
Nick Saban
Jim Harbaugh
Tony Dungy
Jon Gruden
I could give you more great coaches if you would like.
Here's a list of non-football people who were fired:
Oprah
J.K. Rowling
Mark Cuban
Arthur Blank
Steve Jobs
Walt Disney
Jerry Seinfeld
Howard Stern
Elvis
Ron Rivera and Pete Carroll were both on the edge of being fired. Carroll gets handed Russell Wilson and looks like a genius. Cam Newton starts playing exceptionally well and now Rivera is beloved in Charlotte.
Point being: Getting fired proves nothing. You aren't winning consistently in this league without a great quarterback and Philly never had one while Chip was coaching.
If you want to talk about his GM moves, I get it. But the idea that he can't coach in the NFL, is just stupid and media driven. And the argument that him being fired is somehow indicative of his ability to coach is even more ridiculous.
