I disagree. The D looks really really good. That's nothing to sneeze at. The offensive play calling is solid.
But we make too many mistakes/don't make enough plays. We have the potential but have to improve a lot.

Not always a sign of defensive prowess

We need to improve but not by nearly as much as we have needed to at this point the last couple of seasons.

How about the WVU punter. I bet no one makes fun of him for being a punter!

For sure. We are playing much better than last week though. Just a much better opponent and some bad breaks. Looks like we have the foundation to build on for this season. We have been tackling pretty well.

I don't think you can make judgments about our team from this game. WVU is really...really good. Our special teams may be an exception however, Lunsford looks awful.

If you want to look for overreactions, just go to a fan message board during or after a game...

Agreed for the most part. My biggest fault with Josh is he is inconsistent on the plays that could be game changers. He will always put up good numbers because he's the definition of a QB who won't hurt you. We just need him to be a playmaker more often.

WVU is really good. The judgments on our team I make are the dropped passes, bad penalties, and unforced errors. They were always going to score a bunch of points on us. I think our coaches have called a really good game on both sides of the ball. Our players haven't executed, and a lot of that is because of all the inexperience we have. That's why I say we aren't the 13th best team in the country right now. We may be by Thanksgiving, but we've got a ways to go to get there.
