I am trying to schedule a root canal. If I can't find a dentist to do one tonight, I still won't listen. :) Can't imagine the pain Lang is going through tonight.

The title of this thread doesn't say WHO will win"....

Can't rebound and the 6'11" kid shoots 3's. We may not win another game

I heard their top scorer was out for this game. It would be almost comical if it wasn't so sad.

Y'all are going to win at some point and be the thorn for one team not getting a bye in the tourney.

7-way tie for first if CCU rallies against HPU. Flat out nuts.

I have to give DL some credit, he still shows up to coach. I would be very tempted to walk away from this situation, even though he created it. Wonder if there has ever been a coach work a game with a bag over his head?

I'll take 1/7th when they select me. I want to make sure I take care of my associates.

FYI -

I tweeted last night about the loss. I received a direct message this morning from Donna Barber (wife of Jeff Barber). I don't know how to post pictures of Twitter on here, so I'll just post this as a quote. If anyone would like to tell me how to post a Twitter picture, I will gladly change it to that. Anyways, here is the tweet:
Hope no one bashes you publicly when you're having a tough time at work. That's just mean. Coaches don't deserve it any more than others.

Things must really be bad if Jeff is having to ask Donna to respond to Layer's criticism. Also, if I'm having a "tough day" at work, I would hope someone would tell me so that I can adjust. And there is something cowardly about un-following someone on Twitter, after you send them a private message, so that they can't respond.

Yeah, that's chicken (you know the last word).

I love how we're 2-19 against D1 teams and we still have the high ups spinning and making excuses.

If you're in the public eye, public criticism happens. Its a part of the job. This includes presidents, politicians, big bank executives, coaches, ADs, etc. Its a part of the job.

As far as the high ups spinning and making excuses, it would be rather unseemly if they didn't do anything but be publicly supportive during the season. Public criticism would just not be good form.

That said, our first win in BSC play will come against Longwood at the Vines.

That's not Jeff telling Donna to do it. That's Donna overstepping her bounds and acting extremely unprofessionally. She's been known to do that on Twitter before. I got those messages once and immediately unfollowed her because of it.

What? Someone was mean? :dramaqueen

I had someone say they want to talk to me in person about my critique of one of the players.

I had a coach ask multiple people on staff for my home address so he could write me a personal letter.

I can't reiterate this enough: that message was not a Jeff thing. That message was an AD's wife not knowing when to stay quiet.

Oh I know, regardless, when an AD or someone related to them gets into a shouting match or fight with fans it doesn't look good. You might remember former Michigan AD Dave Brandon going on UM forums yelling and making fun of fans.

If my wife did that I would tell her she is on her own. But I'd also wager a lot of money she wouldn't cut and run from the statement either.

When the AD's wife is too close to the programs her husband runs, these, and other weird/inappropriate things happen.

Frankly its better she sent you a direct message than making a passive aggressive public tweet or facebook status post about it

She should put up or shut up, just like anyone else. Not put up then shut up. That's what Trolls do.
