Lynchburg Orthopedics is awesome. They will have a specialist for that type of injury. Dimminick and Gahndi are the best by far IMO. We have better or this here then Roanoke, Cville and Richmond

Well purple, I'm hoping to avoid surgery, but we'll see. Going to schedule with Gondi tomorrow. Local doc in the box said that there is no tendon attached to my heel, so... Time to learn how to do daily tasks differently!

Usually that requires ASAP surgery. Most important will be post op rehab. I am a huge fan of Aqua theray. I don't know if the PT facility at Ortho has one or not. BUT RACV near it does. I was amazed at the recovery time.

No tendon attached at the heel...yeah you need surgery...yesterday. I had my knee scoped in Lynchburg and I definitely recommend Lynchburg for surgery and rehab

Wise choice. I can personally vouch for Dr. Gondi's skill. He operated on me twice following a motorcycle accident which shattered my left tibia, tore every ligament and tendon in my knee and very nearly cost me my leg 15 years ago. I thank God he was on duty in the ER the night I showed up there, because I'm convinced in the hands of a lesser surgeon I would not be walking pretty much normally as I am today. Only now starting to get a touch of arthritis because I have no cartilege in that knee. Hopefully it will hold out a few more years til I have Medicare before I need a joint replacement. When the time comes I want him to do it.

Great to see the positive reviews on Gondi. He will be slicing and dicing me either tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday. According to their scheduler, I have to be ready for tomorrow, but I might get put off until tomorrow. I would appreciate prayers, as I am a wuss around anything medical AND I want the surgery to be successful.

Pain Meds are a wonderful thing.
Just drink a room temperature Coke right away and it will help with any post op nausea. Coke only. Also ask for some warm blankets. My blood pressure gets so low I freeze.

My biggest problem post-op was I couldn't pee, and they won't let you go home til you do.

For me I had some pain from the staples in my knee but I just had to make sure I didnt drive after taking hydrocodone

The IV was an oredeal... Got it on the third try... But all else went well. Finished at 4 yesterday and ended up with what Gondi said was a double rupture resulting in a screw in my heel. It makes me sick to think about it. The hydrocodone gave me a severe headache last night so I'm sticking with Tylenol PM. In 6 months I'll be back to normal!

That opiate high is WAY more powerful than weed or alcohol. Definitely not something to mess around with unless absolutely necessary.

Why did you have gallbladder surgery..I am having some issues with my stomach and they think it might be related to my gallbladder...hope to find out more
