The playoff committee puts the top eight teams as seeds #1-#8. If you are a seeded team, you get a first round bye and home field advantage.

This is the unfilled bracket for the 2014 FCS playoffs. http://www.ncaa.com/interactive-bracket/football/fcs

Game was crazy refs was def trying to throw the game, the worst call was what should of been a 10 sec runoff and unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, when number 73 took his helmet off

Football foundation.org

They clearly were trying to gain an advantage by having the clock stop with no timeouts. Refs threw other bad whistles to seemingly keep coastal in the game, but the boys fought thru it, and persevered.

They did do a 10 second runoff. The problem was the clock operator stopped the clock well before the whistle. The 10 second runoff should have ended the game.

I'm not going to lie, I held off on getting really vocal about this game. I am so glad they won. The flu kept me from being there in person but I cheered with all of the energy I had at home. I am proud of how this team stepped up and came through when it REALLY mattered. Can't wait to attend my first Liberty playoff game next week.

I saw what looked like 8 sec on the clock and they snapped ball down to like five seconds when that happened, but I was yelling that the whole time I knew that should have ended game without the pressure to block a kick

Not sure what happened. Tried to post earlier, guess it didn't go through.

Good game by you guys. The refs were pretty shoddy going both ways. I think both teams got away with a few PIs that were not called.

Masha is pretty rough throwing the ball, especially on deep passes, but that will improve and he will be a solid QB.

Our kicker has a great leg....distance wise. Too bad he sprays it like a god dang garden hose. I have no idea why he was even in today. I told the guys I was sitting next to that Ryan Granger should be in in this game and we all saw how awesome Alex Catron is.....

Anyways, good game, congrats, and good luck in the playoffs.

15 seconds on the clock. Clock stopped despite the refs not blowing the whistle for a good 6-7 seconds more (that's why Gill was going nuts on the refs). 10 second runoff to 5 seconds left. Snapped and spiked with 3.6 seconds left. FG blocked and the hometown clock operator doesn't get to steal a game from us.

Very classy BOD. Kudos to you and your team. I hope they do well.

I say there will be a letter of clarification from the league office or head of officials about the end of the game.

That happened twice actually. I could be wrong but I didn't think the clock was supposed to stop when a player got stopped and stood up. That happened on the last 2 running plays.

I doubt it, Haize. But there should be. That crew was horrible.

You are always good people, Bob. Wish we had you drop by more often.

I can't speak for others, but I hope you guys do exceptionally well in the playoffs. I'd love nothing more than a rematch here in Texas.

That's what Gil was going bonkers over? We couldn't tell as the dang play clock went out twice in the dang game. I don't like the clock runoff rule for a helmet coming off. I understand it, and know the rule, but unless the guy blatantly removes his helmet, I'm obviously not a fan of it.

Were you down here for the game Sly? Should stop by our tailgate next time!

I'll stop by during baseball season...and hoops conference season once our joke of an OOC schedule is over. I'm always around L o L

The play before was a run for a 1st down. Clock stopped while they moved the chains then we called TO about 2-3 seconds later. Following that was the run with the helmet coming off and the clock stopping for no reason very early.

Yep, Gill was ticked because there was at least 6-7 seconds that passed by after the tackle and before the refs blew the whistle to call for the 10 second runoff. The clock basically stopped once the run was whistled dead on forward progress despite the refs not signaling for it and nobody calling a timeout.
