Yes sir, below isa list of guys I think would fit in well on the rest of the All-YMCA league team!
Perhaps Zach Randolph, Kendrick Perkins, and Marc Gasol could be on there to round out the post players. Oh and let's not forget Matt Bonner, the prototypical YMCA league player. A big, nonflashy, unathletic, red-headed white guy that does nothing but shoot 3s. I'm not sure if there is anything more YMCA than that.
JJ Barea would fit in well as the tiny guy that doesn't look like he would be able to do anything but somehow he goes out there and scores 20 on you. Derek Fisher has to be on the roster, he is the definition of a savvy veteran wit an old man's style game. That would fill out the PG spot and Barea could play combo guard.
Ben Gordon is the classic definition of the player with no conscious as a scorer that plays no defense and is too small to really be an SG but has to play it because he has no clue how to be a PG. That's a borderline requirement out of any quality YMCA team. Kirk Hinrich could round out the guards. A pesky, and borderline annoying, defender that is really an offensive liability but always wins.
Boris Diaw would fit the SF well. A chunky, glue man and garbage man type player. Current day Antawn Jamison is to the SF what Gordon would be to the SG spot.
I reckon I'll use the 13th spot, since NBA teams can have an active roster of 13 for every game, for Kevin Martin. Not athletic. Has a horrid looking shot but somehow manages to shoot really, really well in spite of it. Gets buckets despite not really being able to create his own shot. Gets o the FT line on old man like veteran savvy. Plays no defense. That's a YMCA player right there.
