Memphis' defensive performance last night was a joke. Whenever Eric Bledsoe gets his big pay day, he needs to send a big, fat thank you card to the Memphis organization since he owns them and keeps meeting then on the big stage in the playoffs.

Yes sir, below isa list of guys I think would fit in well on the rest of the All-YMCA league team!

Perhaps Zach Randolph, Kendrick Perkins, and Marc Gasol could be on there to round out the post players. Oh and let's not forget Matt Bonner, the prototypical YMCA league player. A big, nonflashy, unathletic, red-headed white guy that does nothing but shoot 3s. I'm not sure if there is anything more YMCA than that.

JJ Barea would fit in well as the tiny guy that doesn't look like he would be able to do anything but somehow he goes out there and scores 20 on you. Derek Fisher has to be on the roster, he is the definition of a savvy veteran wit an old man's style game. That would fill out the PG spot and Barea could play combo guard.

Ben Gordon is the classic definition of the player with no conscious as a scorer that plays no defense and is too small to really be an SG but has to play it because he has no clue how to be a PG. That's a borderline requirement out of any quality YMCA team. Kirk Hinrich could round out the guards. A pesky, and borderline annoying, defender that is really an offensive liability but always wins.

Boris Diaw would fit the SF well. A chunky, glue man and garbage man type player. Current day Antawn Jamison is to the SF what Gordon would be to the SG spot.

I reckon I'll use the 13th spot, since NBA teams can have an active roster of 13 for every game, for Kevin Martin. Not athletic. Has a horrid looking shot but somehow manages to shoot really, really well in spite of it. Gets buckets despite not really being able to create his own shot. Gets o the FT line on old man like veteran savvy. Plays no defense. That's a YMCA player right there.

Do you not read? I said in terms of playing style.
As far as playing style goes, that man is to the PG position what Tim Duncan is to the C position
Why are people so angry on here lately? It's not that serious.

I got what you were saying.

Bulls defense decided to show up today I see. Now this is the Bulls team I was expecting to see in the first game, just 57 points allowed through three quarters.

And the Bobcats fire Mike Dunlap. This after a season in which he more than doubled their win percentage from the previous year. What in the world were they expecting out of him if that's not good enough after the only significant offseason or inseason acquisitions in terms of playing time being Ramon Session, Ben Gordon, Josh McRoberts, Kidd-Gilchrist, Jeff Taylor, and Brendan Haywood? Those are some good role players, but that's it. Adding role players is only going to do so much good when you are lacking top or second level talent, which they have none of.

Next year will mean their sixth coach in 10 seasons, at some point they are going to have to let a coach stick around for more than a couple years to have time to improve the team. Not going to happen if you just keep it a revolving door at head coach.

I kid you not, my ESPN ScoreCenter app just notified me that the Cavaliers are negotiating hiring Mike Brown as their head coach, the same person they fired as head coach following the 2010 season...

Understatement of the millennium and nothing in the next 900+ years will challenge it.

It was obvious when he traded a great off the ball scorer in Rip Hamilton, along with a tremendous post defender in Ben Wallace, to bring in Jerry Stackhouse making Les Wizerables offense entirely contingent on two scorers who were past their prime and could only score with the ball in their hands. Charlotte is just supporting evidence.

I saw that and Lebron James endorsed it. Weird

Well Kevin Durant has come out and said he is sick of being second. Well unfortunately for him, he finds himself on the wrong end of this-

Durant:Lebron :: Drexler:Jordan

Unbelievably, Klay Thomspon scored 21 points last night for Golden State and was only the 4th leading scorer on his team as the Warriors and Nuggets turned the clock back to 1960s and went all ABA on us with a 131-116 final.

Sounds like someone turned the 3-Point Shootout into a 48 minute affair...teams a combined 23-51 from beyond the arc

Like I said in my predictions, it's the Doug Moe invitational. Run and gun and shoot as soon as you can. Who cares if the other team scores because that just gives you the ball. Lots more fun to be had in that series.

The most surprising part of the playoffs so far has been Boston scoring a combined 48 2nd half points through the first two games. KMart is really making a difference for the Knicks defensively.

Injury bug is really looking at killing the playoffs.

Russell Westbrook is undergoing surgery for a torn meniscus. I assume this means out for a significant period of time unless I am getting my torn body parts confused. This really sucks. That OKC vs. Miami Finals rematch was going to be epic. I didn't think anyone else in the league stood a chance in a seven-game series against the Heat.

Lakers are without Steve Blake in out indefinitely. Steve Nash and Jodie Meeks are doubtful for the next game.

Stephen Curry is questionable for game 3 with a sprained ankle

eh...jury is still out there on that one actually. Now if OKC goes and wins the NBA title, that could have some credence. Also bear in mind that it was a shorter season last year (66 games as opposed to 82) so that skews the winning percentage number a bit

I wouldn't consider Harden as a Ewing Theory candidate since he was the third best player on his team last year.

So then why is Westbrook a candidate as the second best player?

Westbrook would only be a candidate once he leaves OKC and if the team would be quantifiably better with him out for an extended period of time
