actually if you gave ideas other than just firing the coach people might take such a proud alum more seriously

it is a business.
ProudLUAlum wrote:Ok...Well then I'll start making everybody happy with comments like:So, one offers a perspective you find extreme, and your only response is to hyperbolically run to as opposite an extreme as you can fathom?
"The guys played really hard tonight"
"I think they will ready for conference play and do well"
"It's ok guys, better luck next time"
"Just remember, it's just a game"
"We're all winners".....I think they should give em' a trophy and not keep score"
Is that the kind of crap you want? Because when people say stuff like this....they stay off "THIN ICE"

Miami, OH
W&M
Canisius
Duke
Seton Hall
Virginia Intermont
Arkansas State
Chattanooga
Iowa State
Old Dominion
Arizona
Valpo
Most of those teams were VERY good, if not great in 03-04. Duke was #2, Arizona was #5. We don't exactly have a schedule that is comparable this season.

This isn't FCS football - the kids won't come here to play Gilligan U, Morgan Pen and Southern Western Northern Virginia. We used to walk in and tell recruits we compete against the biggest teams and we have a good chance to win our conference and go to the big dance every year. I can't remember a worst schedule than this year - ever... And we have only won ONE game

Liberty's now #337 out of 347. At this point North Dakota is the only team ranked lower that does not have a Division I win. They're currently 0-7 vs D-I opponents and Liberty is 0-10.
Don't worry BJ that is just a joke....
