If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

Per Randy Edsall, Maryland Terrapins HC
Coach Edsall announced tonight that starting quarterback Caleb Rowe has suffered a torn ACL and will be out for the season. Rowe, a freshman who started his first game of season, suffered the injury during Saturday’s game against Boston College. “I feel awful for Caleb. I know how excited he was to get his opportunity to be the quarterback of this team,” Edsall said. “Caleb has a bright future ahead of him and we will do everything we can to support him through the rehab process.”
Maryland is now on their 6th string QB. Has this ever happened before?

ESPN is reporting that it i just a dislocated knee....If that is true, I call it a "miracle" and it means he can play again. Prayers for that young man.
Odd. Saw another report earlier that said all 4 major ligaments torn and femur/patella damage. Now it looks like dislocated knee means damage to all the ligaments but not nearly as bad as feared (i.e. not in Robert Edwards/Willis McGehee range).

After the way he constantly, publicly buried his players last year, especially Danny O'Brien, it couldn't happen to a more deserving coach.

they really can't tell all thats wrong until the swelling goes down. just a dislocation is kind of funny considering a dislocation almost always generally includes full ruptures of all ligaments, tendon rupture, meniscus damanage, and potential vascular/nervous tissue damage

Haize, how'd they rip WVU off? Heard on WCHS radio driving home but haven't seen the TCU 2 point conversion yet?

It looked like the ball hit the ground while the receiver was catching it. Definetly he trapped it. But if you don't let tht WR get behind you in the first place it doesn't matter

Don't look now, but aTm is blowing Bama off the field. 20-0 at the end of the 1st.

Great win for UVA today. Whatever they figured out during their bye has been a gamechanger. If they figure out a way to win their last 2 games they'll be one of the more improbable bowl eligible squads at the end of the season.

aTm 29-17 lead in the 4th. Pretty shocking result if they hold on.

Minnesota is bowl eligible in their 2nd season under Jerry Kill. With how far the B1G has dropped off, they could be a real player the next couple of years.

WVU needs a dramatic overhaul on defense.

So a mediocre Big XII school slides over to the SEC and has made immediate noise. Perhaps the SEC isn't that much better than everyone else.

Don't worry, since they are in the SEC and they lost to another SEC opponent, Alabama will fall to #1.4, so they will automatically round back down to #1.

Seriously, it would not shock me to see Alabama at #3 ahead of my Irish at the end of the weekend.

Six straight National Championships says otherwise. What other conference has won six straight?

What other conference would have been allowed to have 2 teams in the championship game- especially when the two teams played each other in one of the most boring games of football played since the invention of the forward pass earlier in the season?

I'm not taking any test that actually uses the Sagarin rankings. That joker's computer system, at least the one that is used in the BCS calculations, has Arizona #17 and Washington #18. That's about as deeply flawed as a system can be.

Boring has no relevance to quality of team. How people continue to argue that as a reason to choose national championship participants is one of the most ignorant arguments in all of sport.

Why is Louisville even included in that graphic to begin with? The fact they ranked top 10 in any poll coming in to the week is a complete mockery of college athletics with the resume they have. They have payed 10 games, and 1-9 Kentucky is their 7th best RPI opponent and 6th best Sagarin opponent. Think about that, a complete joke of a program that fired their coach midseason doesn't even come close to being Louisville's worst opponent. And Louisville had to squeak out some close Ws against some of these supposed to be cupcake teams on their schedule. They have the #221 RPI SOS and are only winning by 9.625 points a game. That is beyond pathetic for the #25 team, much less a team that was ranked top 10.

Harvard-Yale "The Game" on NBCSN.
Lafayette-Lehigh on MASN2 in the DC area.

I love watching these true classic rivalries. The amount of history between the programs is amazing.
