This was definitely much needed. We needed to build on the way we closed out last week and we did..with a vengeance. We are on a very good roll right now. Definitely liked what we got from AA and SCH today and even more so from Abnar once he got carries on offense.

We needed this badly. I think the boys were relieved to get in the win column last week. We seemed much more relaxed.

Total domination. A well rounded game and great calls by the coaching staff and great execution by the players. PC was 117 out of 121 teams in rushing defense. I think they are now 122. I'm very worried about our kicking game. This is reminiscent of Kacere's kickoff's last year.

I think his best kick went to the 12 or 13 yard line. That's when we started the pooch kicks to prevent the "big" runbacks. Lunsford has kicked almost half of his kickoffs completely out of the endzone. That saves a lot of wear and tear on the cover team and avoids injuries. I hope he's back at full strength for SBU. This is a tough first year for coach and character building for the team with all the injuries, especially to players the team depends on (2 All Americans and probably a future one).

That was my first-ever Liberty Football game and first-ever visit to Liberty's campus when I was in 11th grade! My best friend played in the Marching Band so my Youth Pastor decided to take the high schoolers up for the game and Scaremare. Good times! It's crazy to think how much campus has changed since then.

And to take a turn off Memory Lane, I was encouraged by today's performance. It's the kind of production I'd love to see every game. I'm really hoping that 2nd half against GWU is the start of something special. Coastal and Stony Brook are going to be tough, but like Sly said in another thread, I think we have the potential to beat them. But just for my health, I'd prefer those games to go like today's went. Go Flames! Beat Concord!

Liberty (2-4, 2-0 Big South) completely dominated Presbyterian (2-5, 0-2) from the opening whistle as they win 56-7. Flames Nation is much more accustomed to this type of score when facing Big South Opponents as Liberty improves to 2-0 in conference play for the 6th consecutive season and is 28-3 in its last 31 conference games. The 49 point margin of victory, is Liberty's largest in a Big South Conference game in school history.
