Overall decent game for LU. Need to eliminate mistakes like missed assignments. And secure the ball. Montana made fewer mistakes and that was the game.

A few things impressed me concerning Montana...
1) Solid tackling. They missed very few.
2) Solid hands. Looked like several one handed grabs by receivers. Few drops if any.
3) Always looking to strip the ball, without sacrificing tackles. Great technique.
4) They looked stronger than the Flames at times.

Woodrum looked good mostly. His inexperience showed at times, particularly when under pressure. He is talented - look forward to seeing more of him in the years to come.

Letdown game...they were coming off the high of winning in Lynchburg and got caught with their proverbial pants down. No reality check needed. Did you miss the fact that Coach Gill had to deal with burying his own MOTHER the week of the NSU game? If you were a coach and somebody you were that close to passes away the day after your first game and you have to fly home for her funeral and then fly back and coach a game, dont you think that might affect you a bit too?

I thought the team played hard and well, I don't think they did in the Norfolk game. Remember, we have played some very tough teams and still have one more tough team to go before the Big South teams. A team will never get better playing an easy to beat team. Josh did a GREAT job and has a very good future. I see now why it took so long to pick a QB.

I'm ok with where we are at. Lots of changes and we are seeing what we do well and what we need to do better. I like Woodrum at QB. Our secondary is very good. We need to improve on O and D line and that's the toughest thing to do at this level.
We are on the right track, just wish the train moved faster!

The right track.

I agree that we are on the right track. I refuse to panic yet. I still believe this team can make a run at the Big South. Stony Brook is a beast, though.

Hopefully we can get an upset against Lehigh next week. :)

Most of the BSC is awful NCAA Division I football....I would hope that 15 million could get a few wins with that competition.

Nuff' said...
Did you include the fact that they lost to Rice this year? Or did you discount that because it didn't fit your argument?
Charlie Weiss will be an unmitigated disaster at KU
And I agree, but Kansas football is a joke, and will always be. They fired Mangino, the only coach who ever did anything with that program.

. Glad to see nick back. Coaches should be watching a lot of film this week and making adjustments where needed. QB getting sacked is never acceptable. Losing Malcolm was big but Ray stepped up and did a real good job when he was in. Very proud of Allen, good running. Learn from this lost Flames and get ready to beat Lehigh. Go Flames!

I am around for football, basketball and baseball. Waiting for the results JB promised and JLF jr has paid for.

You should really check out some of our other sports. Great things happening here at Liberty.

Also: watched the game on JCTV and the feed was surprisingly good.

really nice to be able to sit here in SE PA and get the digital broadcast over the air like that.

reading thru other BSOUTH boards and feel very fortunate that we have the ability to watch all our games... despite the fact that I want to vomit.

appreciate the folks at FTN for getting that game on and to those who wrote the check.
