I play golf at least 3 times a week on top of watching it. Next to football, it's my favorite sport to watch on T.V. With all the story lines this year, it's increasingly interesting. NFL preseason games have better ratings than the World Series. Why on earth would I care about baseball? I even played high school baseball and I can't stand to watch it.

Exactly why it's terrible. The most popular sport in the country is NFL which has 16 games, MLB's ratings have been dropping every year since 02 and it has the most games.

But there is no denying that attendance & TV numbers are falling and at an increasingly rapid rate. If you need any further evidence of how sick the game has become you have to look no further than where I live. And Houston is a top ten media market with a terrific ballpark.

Yeah, basketball and hockey are inside sports. Have fun trying to fit 40,000 people inside...Secondly, notice how NFL stadiums hold 75,000-100,000? Care to explain that one? haha.

Why not? MLB used to overwhelmingly be the most popular sport in the country and now it's overwhelmingly not. The Super Bowl sets the record for the most watched T.V. event in history every year. Why can't you compare that?

football is always going to have more % of tickets sold just on availablility alone. you have much less chance of going. to use that as some sort of basis is totally laughable.

and the superbowl has been breaking its own record since its inception. it was the most watched thing even when baseball was #1. it has no basis on the conversation at all.
