I looked this up the other day because other than one year Maryland did it, I couldn't remember anybody but Duke or UNC winning it.
In the last 15 years, 14 of them were won by Duke or UNC. Now it's 14 of 16. Real competitive conference.

So, it's not like it's a fluke for them to get there. Can't really knock the rest of the conference when there are two teams consistently that strong.
