I disagree pbow. I think you kick it deep. big difference in CCU going for it on LU's 35 on 4th and 3 vs. being in their own territory 4th and 3. They punt on their side of the field. The pooch kick and subsequent lack of coverage is what got us.

I guess I'm still encouraged that we're on the right track but the INT's in the first half and the 4th qtr defensive problems just killed us. Depth on the defensive side is a problem.

Depth on D is an issue no question. I missed the first half but INT's kill you. we are a much better team than last year. I think these kids play hard. we still do some really dumb things out there though.

I have to say the FG didn't decide the game. That was in the first half...

We also missed an early 39 yard FG...and then the stupid diving penalty...then, we decide to go for 2 anyway from the 18...if we kick the EP there and make it, we can try a two at the end.

It's like we can't win no matter what...but I'm still encouraged. We're going to start winning these. I believe!

I hope a lot of people show up next week. I am concerned that the losses will keep people at home. On the other hand, we always seem to have exciting games!

Well at least I am encouraged we won't finish LAST in the Big South this year. That is progress isnt' it?

it's got to be somewhat of a mental thing at this point.

obviously its getting to our guys or else you wouldn't see the personal fouls you saw in the last few minutes.

We really need to show up in force next weekend and the 11th. We need to show our guys and doubters that LU football is turning the corner. I will be dissapointed if we have less than 11K for both games.

On the bright side, we've played 5 1-aa games (chapionship division games),

We've outscored our opponents in these games 94-79...(boosted up by the Savanna State game)

but, we're 1-4

At the same point though CCU would have easily moved the ball at the end so the fg isnt as big as we think. Penalties and Defense in the fourth cost us today

I was at a work function and missed all but the last 3 minutes of the game. I'm bummed...but I'll be there next week. These guys need fan support as much as they need anything right now.
