sorry haize...not a convert at all. He played a heckuva game and i gave him credit. I respect him and what he stands for, but it certainly does not make me a convert. I posted this in the thread about the Olympic Trials marathon, but it fits here too. Fellow Flamefan and LU alum Josh Cox is running the Trials on Saturday. If you aren't familiar with Josh, just google him. Let's just say he's got a lot going for him (American record holder in the 50k, he was a contestant on the Bachelorette, has running sponsors out his ears, has been on multiple magazine covers including Runner's World twice, and he kinda resembles Brad Pitt). Anyway, he is also a very strong Christian witness.
He did a 30 min phone interview on Sunday about the race and they asked him about Tim Tebow and his message at the 23:00 mark. His response is awesome. It is definietly worth a couple of minutes of your time.

You & I may be the only ones who even glanced inside the Olympic Trials thread. So it was a good idea to post it here as well. JCox hasn't been on here lately as his life has picked up considerably. That's the problem. You have people who hate him for praising God, and then you have the 700 club crowd who think they're all out to get him cause he's a Christian.

That leaves so few people in the middle.

pundits here locally would make it seem like he is. i've never once heard him make any statement about God giving two craps about football. Its always, regardless of whether we win, or we lose, help me to glorify you and have the attitude i need to have. the faithless have no idea what that means unfortunately and just assume that hes saying "IM TIM TEBOW PLEASE HALP THE BRONCOS WIN GOD"

Well the guy on the white pony is a 13.5 point underdog today ....... but you can still say, he's only one win away from an appearance in the AFC Championship Game. And there are only 8 QB's left playing.

But who really cares about this one ..... IM sure no one will be watching .....

they'll be able to move the ball again. the question will be scoring in the redzone. its hard to think that when you give bellichek this much time to prepare, AND the fact that they've lost in the playoffs like 3 years in a row or maybe 4, that they'll lose this one but they were saying that about the steelers game too.

Wonder why it's so quiet on this part of the board...

I actually thought Tebow played a good game in terms of effort. Many QB's would be throwing the ball away when down by 35 instead of trying to scramble for a few yards. His O-line was terrible tonight and Tom Brady picked apart the Bronc's defense. In all honesty, I think with Tebow's work ethic, he has a lot more potential than I originally gave him credit for. If he fixes his accuracy issues and starts throwing a deeper ball, he could do some things in Denver.

Wow!! They dismantled a "VERY TIRED" looking Broncos team. When NFL films puts together it's 2011 Tim Tebow story, IM sure it will culminate with the Steelers game

I don't know who to pull for now .... My Panther were toast by week four ... My favorite QB, Drew Brees came up one possession short yesterday ... and now this .....

Can't figure out why you want to keep taking jabs at me about the steelers. I never made excuses. They were outplayed and out coached. At least I do not have to listen to it anymore this year. Keep Tebowing and congrats to him on his accomplishments this year. Great story.

I don't think there is anything Tebow or any other QB could have done to match Tom Brady last night. He was simply amazing, even with his 1 TO. I left this game at half time to watch Battlestar Galactica re runs. It was a great story and I enjoyed the ride.

Purple's right...Brady was unstoppable last night. I think in the run up to this one when I was hearing how intense he was in his preparation (more so than his usual), I had a feeling he was going to be good, but I dont think anyone expected a performance like that.

It was definitely quite a ride this year and hopefully now that he will have a full offseason to work with Elway and the coaches, he can certainly improve for 2012
