Maybe Tebow's best game? Hope he wins a spot in the playoffs ..... I heard he's number 3 in fan voting for the Pro Bowl game.

Anyone else see the similarities between Tebow and Liberty U. Both very open about their faith ...... both criticized by the same people .... both supported by the same people. The game Sunday had the highest viewership for an NFL game in four years. I think like 40 million viewers? If Liberty goes D1-A and puts a winner on the field this phenomenon could follow. While the same haters will be around the LU supporters can grow to be hugh ... nationwide!

Sorry, not seeing the correlation between Tebow and Liberty other then that whole Christian thing.
For one hing, Tebow led teams win big games and are gracious in defeat!

All IM really saying is what has been said a thousand times before .... LU can be to evangelicals across the Nation what ND is to Catholics. If we make it to division a-1, get the extra scholarships, put together a team as good as ND ... the sky's the limit. Unfortunately evangelicals like Tebow and LU will always have a small ban of "vocal bashers" following them around on internet chat forums and in the media. But it could lead to some fantastic TV ratings. Like Tebow is experiencing. Then again LU may evolve into a more water down version of itself and be more like Baylor. Hope not?

How bout that RGIII, I want to see someone like that choose Liberty and help us beat ND! :football

Not to further get off the topic of Tebow but I hope we never become Notre Dame, we are way better than that. Notre Dame is overrated every year and they have had many more "Asa" cases than we have. We can do better than Notre Dame. I think from an ethical standpoint, being similar to BYU wouldn't be a bad thing.

How are we "way better than that"? Notre Dame is one of the most storied and popular football programs in the country. Sure, they aren't as good as they once were right now, but it seems like a pipe dream for Liberty to ever be viewed in the same regard as Notre Dame.

I think what he's saying is that ND puts up with a lot of off field antics and he hopes we can put together a "top notch winning team" that walks the walk ....

Maybe that's what he meant. It was worded in a way that was saying ND is overrated (which they are), but LU would love to be rated at all.

I meant with ND's current status as a football program. Historically, they are one of the best programs in college football. However, presently they're barely better than Wake Forest or Boston College. I was also referring to all of the off the field issues that they've recently dealt with. Additionally, many (at least local ones) Catholics do not like to be associated with Notre Dame because of how the school has gotten away from its mission. On the contrary, many Mormons love BYU.

I'm not sure I would count those as devout. But I know the type. I would say the more orthodox followers are the ones who are not as enameled with being associated with ND

100% agree on catholicism. I've never met one that has any noticable difference in their lifestyle because of it.

Come on Adam, you still hating on Tebow :)

Everyone has analyzed him to death. I still think the AFC is weak and the patriots are probably the worst matchup for denver just because of how high octane their offense is. I could honestly see Denver winning a game or two against the other teams in the AFC.

Cowherd was off his rocker today. He was selling some garbage that Denver had 9 players that could start on any team in the league, total BS. I'll give you Clady, Dumervil, Miller and maybe Champ though he's nearing the end of his career. Herd was throwing eddie royal and willis mcgahee in there as studs haha.

cowherd is off his rocker at times but they have plenty of starters on defense. eddie royal isn't ever healthy, and mcgehee is pretty darn good. not studly but has produced pretty much everywhere.

beadle has the worth sports thoughts on the face of the planet.

mallet I'm not saying they are bad players but lets get real. Herd said 9 guys that could start on ANY team in the league. No way Mcgahee and Royal start for atleast 10 to 15 teams in the league. Heck, Mcgahee was a scrap heap pickup that was cut by the ravens and his shelf life is short. I still only give you 4 guys that could start anywhere off that team. They should have held onto brandon lloyd.

Hey, Tebow sucked and the Broncos lost again, this time to a team that had lost 7 straight. No comments? Guess the bandwagon guys are jumping off.

He didn't play well. Probably because of doubters such as you his strength has been sapped like Samson's . Or they are game planning away from the run too much. Hhmmmmmm

I read this thread. Denver played Buffalo on December 24th. Nobody posted anything in this thread after the game. That was my point.
