I'm not nearly involved in politics like I used to be. However, I couldn't stray away from this thread when I saw all of the Ron Paul supporters. I understand the anti-government views that a lot of people on here probably support. On the other hand, from a Christian ethical standpoint, this guy is a mess.

For one, he doesn't have support for Israel and has constantly voted against it. Secondly, he voted against a bill that helps catch child porn criminals. He's also for the legalization of gay marriage, prostitution and marijauna. Furthermore, he's against capital punishment, which for me is a real problem. However, outside of his views, I was really just turned off by how his campaign stood out in front of the Vines Center yelling, "Paul, not Perry" before Perry spoke. Paul supporters need to change their style if they want to have a chance.

And im sorry if your against some one standing OUTSIDE of the Vines and showing that they dont agree with someone then you must not be a fan of the Constitution. Dr. Paul is a firm believer in the Constitution and the rights of people to do as they want or believe. A lot of Christians believe that we can only have our beliefs protected but if it is not unconstitutional then it shouldnt be censored or infringed on. PERIOD! to many people in this country like to ignore the Constitution unless it helps their cause. Ron Paul is the only true defender of the Constitution and I will be voting for him come 2012 regardless if he candidate or not. And the Israel thing is another issue all together but Community is calling me to watch it

Yeah, um...Duncan Hunter and Rudy Guliani led almost all early polls in 2008. They both withdrew from the primaries rather early. The early polls mean almost nothing. I don't have a legal or moral problem with what his LU supporters are doing, it's more of an annoyance than anything. The reason I brought it up is because of how many people hated it. After Perry spoke, I heard more people saying they would NOT vote for Ron Paul than I did for or against Perry.
I may not have a lot of expertise when it comes NCAA football but I have quite the history in politics. I've been a campaign manager for a delegate race, event coordinator and volunteer coordinator on congressional race, worked for Bob McDonnell & Bob Goodlatte and helped run the McCain headquarters in Roanoke during the 2008 election. I can tell you right now that Paul's campaign tactics are terrible and he's bound to lose if he doesn't change.
Every politician says that they are a firm believer in the Constitution. What American isn't? Ron Paul isn't the only defender of the Constitution and it's idiotic to think that.

There's nothing wrong with our country allowing prostitution? Do you even realize how much that infringes on female's rights? Do you realize how destructive that is on a society? If you're for all men and women being created equal, how can you allow prostitution?

My point is that everyone will say that they support the constitution. For the most part, everyone does support it, however we all have different ideas of showing that support.

This is my last post because you're like every other Ron Paul extremist. You'll never listen to anyone else regarding political issues. At least you won't until Paul loses.

You don't have to say that prostitution is right. Simply allowing any state to legalize it is bad enough. It's the same thing as abortion. Just because you don't technically, "support" it, doesn't mean that you aren't against it. So, let me rephrase. I won't vote for anyone who would allow prostitution to be legalized at any level.

Yeah, I'm not arguing that the constitution didn't allow for their to be a change concerning slavery. My point is that I don't buy into the guys who say that we need to get "back to basics." Ron Paul is not perfect this much is true, but he is the only candidate who actually still believes our founding fathers knew what they were doing when they wrote the constitution. He does not support gay marriage, prostitution, or the legalization of marijuana. You will never, EVER find that. He just believes those issues should be handled by the states which is how this country is suppose to be run.

But you stick with your cookie-cutter republican, Mitt Romney, and see where that gets this country. More of the same every other cookie cutter politician has given us...nothing.

I am aware we are in some tough times economically. I would say some of this rest upon our president. What is your major complaint with what Obama has done as president? I ask in all seriousness. I am not an Obama advocate, I just dont join in on the hate either. His forgien policy has been solid, and I think he has tried to put Political Alliances aside for what he thinks is best for the country. IMO. I am a voter, and I trust some people on this board will give valid points.

For those that say they will vote for Obama if X is the republican candidate, that is just childish. Sometimes life is not about making the 'right' choice. It is about making the 'less bad' choice. I think anyone of the likely candidates, IMO Romney Newt orecen Paul, are immensely better for me and the country then President Obama. NOW is the time to fight for your candidate.
