what a finish tonight...the Cardinals tie the game down to their last strike...TWICE...then get a walk off home run in the 11th...instant classic to be sure

I've thoroughly enjoyed this series, but this is the worst managed World Series I can recall. It's just further proof that it's the GM/players that matter most and the manager is just a guy juggling egos.

Sounds like its been a good one. For those of us that have to wake up at 4:30 its pretty much impossible to stay up and watch.

It was a great game. Victor Cruz should have caught that ball though, he looked like a church-league softball player trying to field that one.

And the managing has been aggravating at times. Seems the prevailing philosophy is to minimize your chances to lose, instead of letting your players try to win.

I told my friend who is a Cardinals fan that last night's game was the best ugly game I've ever seen. Terrible defense and horrible managing on both sides. I hope tonight's game is a classic game that isn't decided by errors or ignorant management.

Posty, I fell asleep on it, too, but at least I saw the highlights on ESPN. It looks like we missed a great game. Once Texas went ahead in the 7th, I turned in.

I feel like Robin Williams who missed Fisk's homerun in Good Will Hunting because "he had to see about a girl."

It was NOT a great game. It was an exciting game with a ton of twists and turns, but it was very poorly played and managed.

The game had a dropped infield popup, a player picked off 3rd with the bases loaded, a manager who left a reliever in to bat with the bases loaded, a RF who misplayed a ball into a game tying triple, etc. It was bad baseball at times, but it was extremely compelling TV (almost as much as the final day of the regular season).

If you ever need somebody to do your homework, LaRussa's bullpen will be happy do that.

Yeah, sometimes people need to learn to keep things to themselves. I wonder if God let him know which pitch to swing at.
