I was actually into the football game more than usual- though I only stayed through abt.1/2 b/c
my daughter had to sleep. (I love watching hockey b/c it moves fast). At risk of ruining anonymity, I'll share a funny incident- children are full of them. My children were rolling down the hill; the boy-almost a decade older- decides to go take pics. and tells the 3 yr. old to go see Mom-like she's going to do THAT, esp. in her tired state. She decided to go to the bouncy houses her brother had mentioned but headed TOWARD the field!! Meanwhile, I had started down the hill as soon as the brother left into the bleachers. As I got closer, I called to her. She continued onto the sidelines, so my voice escalated. She insisted on cont., saying she wanted to go to the bouncy house (eyes fixed on the watcha-ma-callit the players come out of at the start). As she crossed the sideline onto actual field, my voice was very firm and I closed the distance. Thank God the play was at the other end!
Keep striving, run the race...b/c the grass withers and the flower fades away
