Pack fan here, just thought a would give you guys a quick rundown of the game.
The closest FCS game State has had in the past in the past 10 years was against #1 ranked App. State and it was 23-10. App would go undefeated the rest of the season and win a national Championship. Chuck Amato was coaching this era. In the TOB era, State has not scored less than 48 points on FCS teams and FCS teams have not scored more than 10. I expect LU to score more than 10 though.
I see many LU fans are expecting State to overlook this game...

. I mean it could happen but I would not plan a TOB coached team to overlook any team. For many of you who do not know TOB he is known for his disiplined teams with very few penalties.
Defense: NC. States defense is the preseason #8 ranked defense in the country returning 8 starters from last years team. One defensive player will miss the opener J.R. Sweezy a DL. State's strengh comes from it's front seven who have a Nate Irving like linebacker in Terrel Manning OLB and an athletic Bruiser in MLB Audie Cole along with DJ Green a 6-4 very speedy OLB. The pack lost two defensive lineman but they are replaced by two DL who played very much last year. All four defensive backs are returners and 3 of them are 3 year starters.
Offense: Of course everyone knows about Russell Wison gone, but meet Mike Glennon. Glennon was the # 5 ranked QB in the 2008 class rated ahead of #7 Andrew Luck. He was a four star recruit and has an absolute cannon on his shoulder. The Pack does have some guys at reciever who are getting use to a new QB but the recievers and Mike have been working together since the Spring which would not have happened with Russell Wilson. The offensive line returns 4 starters one of which is questionable for the LU game. The 5th lineman at tackle is Sophmore Robert Crisp who was a 5 star recruit and the #4 OT in his class. State is very deep at the RB position even without starter Mustafa "Moose" Greene who will be out with a foot injury.
Prediction: LU has a great offense but State has the best defense it has had since the Mario Williams era. The Pack has the potential to run the table in the Atlantic if the offense clicksand with a win in Talahasse could be in Charlotte in the ACC Championship; as for this game I believe.
State: 44
LU:20
Good Luck to Liberty, as for fans going I hope you guys have an awesome time at the greatest football atmoshpere in North Carolina. Great tailgating and Grade A complex which seats 60,000.
