When I first heard the title but didnt know the game concept I got really excited b/c I pictured a mix of MW2 and Rainbow 6 (my all time favorite PC game) b/c it had a sneaky futuristic title. Of course it wasnt even close.....should have named it Platoon or something.
The single player was awesome on Black Ops, better than MW2 if you ask me.

The multiplayer just isn't very well done. I should have known, since World at War sucked and it's made by the same people. It's just not well put-together. The connections are terrible, the guns are all the same, and it comes down to who has the best connection. The maps are bad. Meh. Oh well.

Dont even get me started on the lag fest. Interesting enough in a unscientific study that I've done on MW2 if your hosting you have a worse connection then when you simply have a good connection. Exact opposite of Halo, in Halo its obvious when you have host. In MW2 we'll be playing one of us lagging so much we get mad and leave the game....sure enough every time the person who stayed has to search for a new host.

What's really fun is setting up an old school xbox on the CPU and running those servers with glass walls....but again, that's laggy too.

I'm horrible at golf but love the archery. its pretty realistic imo. also love table tennis and regular tennis. I just hit pro level on table tennis, and I only play on holidays at my parents house haha

They intentionally did that on MW2. They didn't want the host to win every game, so they spread the lag out. Black Ops tried it, too, and they did an even worse job.

The opposite would be Halo or Gears, where the host is just a beast who kills at will and has no connection problem at all. So not sure which is better.

TTL, you liked this campaign better than mw2? this one SUCKED, way to predictable, and there were way too many times where it just did for you what you needed to do. Like the last level, all of a sudden that guy is there right where you need him to kill him when he wasnt 2 seconds earlier. The ending scene was also one of the lamest things I have ever seen.

If EA and medal of honor were smart, they would bring in the guys from infinit ward, because Medal of Honor was so close to being an epic game this year.

Infinity Ward:
- May not be together or the same anymore, as a few guys were fired/left after MW2
- Is really, really bad at patching the game after it comes out

Black Ops:
- Is better than MW2 story wise because MW2 was all like " You killed some civilians,Now you're in Russia, now you're in Iraq, now the government has turned on you! Now you're dead!" It jumps all over the there are holes in the story. BO had an incredible story that flowed together. And I don't see what you mean with the "the game does things for you", since gameplay wise it was virtually the same as MW2 in terms of the campaign. Same kinds of things you have to do.
-By "the ending scene" do you mean where you learn that you're the JFK assassin? Or the intro to the zombies level? I think both were awesome.

ending wise I mean where you come up from the underwater ship and its like Cue the sunset, cue the corny music, AMEEEEEERICAAAAAAAA

I see what you mean about the storyline not jumping all over the place, which is good on the one hand, i just felt like the two modern warfares were both plausible movie plots, and entertaining to watch and be a part of. This one didnt have that factor. yeah it flowed together better, but only because you were a different character for maybe 2 of the levels.

This game is already old and boring.
