People have often said on here that winning is the cure...what has the football team been doing the last 5 seasons...exactly that...WINNING.
Look at our home records since Danny Rocco got here:
2006: 4-2
2007: 6-0
2008: 6-1 (including a win over a ranked Elon)
2009: 5-1
2010: 5-0 (including the win at City Stadium
That is a cumulative record of 26-4 in five seasons. Over that time the attendance at games has increased dramatically (we only had one game under 10,000 in attendance this year and that was at City Stadium). In all 5 home games this year, we never scored less than 40 points (and won by an average of 31.8 points in each game). To get to postie's point, Im sure that the department WANTS to bring better opponents in (like Wofford, Appalachian State, Delaware, Richmond who is coming in a couple years, Villanova, South Carolina State, Jacksonville State, William and Mary, etc, etc.) and we could go on and on about that ad nauseum ad infinitum, but we have to ask ourselves...do we want wins, or do we want relevancy.
