I am NOT on board with calling for a new head coach. I am, however, calling for changes. Our Defense has not shown up for more than one big game that I can remember in the past few years. Talent or lack thereof may explain some of that when you are talking about a WVU or other OOC game but when it comes to the losses or even the close games that shouldn't have been close in conference I don't think talent is the issue. It is clearly schemes, lack of adjustments in game and motivation that ultimately fall on the defensive coaching staff. Until we prove ourselves on D (like holding someone to less than 20) in a few games against the top third of FBS I will no longer buy that we are a top 25 program. I fully expect changes to be made before next season to address this recurring issue with our D.
As far as O. Are there some issues? Yes, but 25-30pts should be enough to win most games if you have a decent D.
This game: Did CCU come out hot, absolutely, but receivers were WIDE OPEN many times and we got no pressure on their QB. Hard to miss too many throws even for an average qb when that happens. Theirs is better than the average so that explains that.
Money: We have put a lot of $ into the program and our administration continues to give our team everything it needs to succeed. With that investment comes higher expectations. Coach Rocco stated as much early in the season. I don't think it is wrong of fans to expect more.
Today vs. Yesterday: Many of the comments that talk about how much better we are now than before seem only to remember back to the Karcher era. It is hard not to be better than those years. Previous to that we were playing some tough teams and winning some big games. I see us as at an equal place to where we were previous to Karcher. We expected to take a step forward then and went backward. Now we are back and looking to take the next step and the school has put it's $ where it's mouth is. I think we will see that next step made but not without some changes.

Believing LU Basketball is on the verge of something great since 1991. The Cubs won a World Series so why not LU to the Sweet Sixteen?!
