Title IX had great intentions as did other equality legislation, but unfortunately its not always so cut in dry when it comes to how it effects DI athletics and how it has effected many talented, possible DI athletes.
With that said because we has Americans have such a hard time treating people equally its almost a necessary evil, same goes for affirmative action. Both of these pieces of legislation have huge flaws, but because Americans couldn't treat people equally to begin with they became needed..Just part of the sad history that this country has to overcome
