That's the Mongolian I was referencing. I'm not sure whether they have the sauces out for you to mix or whether they just use one generic sauce when they throw it on the grill at your location. I usually go find some pineapple on salad bar to add to my bowl for the grill.

Yeh you got to try it $8.24 and far better than Kyoto. Different style too. Although it does have a section that would prob fall under your category of crap Chinese buffet however that only makes up for 1/4 of the total offerings....you need to make it a priority to go there this week, you wont be disappointed

Maybe we have finally stumbled on to a way to add some weight to Carter McM. Play Basketball

I went by for lunch today and I was pleasantly surprised. It had a little of everything and I enjoyed the atmosphere along with a friend of mine. I didnt get a chance to try the grill on this visit but I definitely will be checking it out next time I go back which hopefully will be either later this week or early next week

I took Mrs. Cider there for dinner Friday night. She said their beef tips were the best that she's ever had in her life! The dinner price was $10.99 (up from the $7.39 lunch price), but it included beef tips, steak, ribs, etc. The steak tasted exactly like what you get a Wood's Grill in Charlottesville. We even tried the chocolate fountain : dipping our own bananas & strawberries. We both love the place, and it was packed on a Friday night, yet the service was excellent.

For the record, I've been there 3 times since it opened on Monday. How many times have you been there, HMO?

I was there last night too. Really high quality meats for a buffet. I hope that's something that will continue and not just something to lure you in while everybody's just trying it out. I'm not a sushi nut, but they had a couple different ones that I tried that were the best I've ever had. And that raw bar was pretty awesome too. I've never been a big fan of lo mein but I've also never had it so fresh. I gave the dude a plate of lo mein and raw beef watched him grill it up and took it back to my seat and ate it while it was still scalding hot. I was really surprised at the deliciousness of it. The final bill caught me off guard, but then I remembered I was in Lynchurg, where they feel meals that are prepared for you are some sort of fancy luxury so you should have to give the city a cut since they allow it to happen.

While we were waiting outside for a table, I noticed that fazzolis was in the process of being painted and they had built a very modern looking patio outside. So it looks like a restaurant is going in there finally.

I hope this doesn't sound racist, but judging by the color of paint they are using on the old Fazzoli's, I wonder if it's going to be another Mexican restaurant? Anybody with any insider information?

I've been there 3 times as well!

I was told what was going in over at Fazzolli's but I forget now....I'll find out again, I wasnt paying attention when I was told.

I heard that they have multiple specialties, including Mediterranean, so it may be one of those places that's hard to peg.

Interesting.....2 choices ride the wave of your success downtown and parlay it with another venture or get established really well and then open it up. Are they spreading out their risk or spreading out themselves very thin....Tomato Tomatto
