What do they all have in common? they all homered in the last 2 innings to beat the phils in one of the most amazing finishes of a baseball game i've witnessed. the Braves were down 3-0 in the bottom of the 9th with 2 out. Glaus drives one deep and bring in 2 then the next batter THE Jason Heyward hits one to tie it. Phils go 3 up and down in the 10th then Nate Mclouth cranks one on his second pitch to win the game.

As he rounded the bases the entire braves dugout emptied into the club house so by the time nate got home they were all in the tunnel waiting for him. it was hilarious. and classy IMO. they didn't want to show the other team up since they have to play them two more games tomorrow and thursday. thoughts?

Except when you ignore your star player who is the face of the team when he does the same thing like the Braves did to Chipper earlier this year. At that point you get them pulling the prank on the vet, but if you watch the rookies they have no clue what to do during it. Heyward was getting ready to come on deck and looked confused, patted Chipper on the back, then went out to start swinging.

The celebration will be short lived as you face Roy Halladay today...
Speaking of Halladay here is a quote from fox on him...

"Roy Halladay continues to live up to the hype. Yes, it's far, far too early to start talking about who's on pace to do what, but Halladay, should those paces hold (and they of course will not), will author the following ridiculous numbers: 41-0, 324.0 IP, 1.13 ERA, 284 strikeouts. Oh, and he's also batting .273."

I don't care if it is the NL those are ridiculous numbers

I asked a Phillies fan today what he thought about that game. Then he said, "you want to put money on the game tonight?" I said, "No way, you've got Halladay going."

was at the game last night. Roy is ridiculous good. but his defenase saved his butt last night. I had nightmares about shane victorino in center robbing 2 doubles and a homer over the wall. and with bases loaded a would be base hit gets stopped by a ridiculous play and turns into a dp.
