while Craycraft, a 5-11 setter, will play for Liberty University.
Asked why she chose Liberty, which is a member of the Big South Conference, Jade said, "At first I didn't want to go there because I didn't want to go to a school that's too far away.

"The when I made my visit, it just felt right," Jade said. "I just thought, 'This is where I want to go.' I'll have to go there and earn my spot, but I'm really looking forward to it."

Craycraft, who led the Generals in kills (310) and assists (320) this season, is the fourth Div. I player Wooster coach Jen Snowbarger has coached in her nine years leading the program. Kelci Marschall (Indiana), Lindsay Raus (High Point) and Michelle LaLonde (Delaware) also went D-I.

We're gonna be pretty stacked with Boggs, Bosche and now this girl. Also we are gonna have I think 9 people 6-0 or taller come next year with this recruiting class

lol...what I meant was we will not lack at that position even with Kallie graduating. Courtney has stepped right up and taken over in her absence.

The Daily Record wrote:Local volleyball trio nets Div. I scholarships

Orrville's Hannah Brenner and Erin Short and Wooster's Jade Craycraft have each shared a common goal throughout their high school volleyball careers -- to continue playing at the highest collegiate level.

On Wednesday, that goal was right in front of them as they all signed letters of intent for Div. schools on National Signing Day.

Short, a 6-1 outside hitter and Brenner, a 5-10 setter, signed to Eastern Michigan University and Clemson University, respectively, while Craycraft, a 5-11 setter, will play for Liberty University.
And here's more on Jade ...
Craycraft signed her letter during a special ceremony at Wooster High School. Joining her for the occasion were parents, Jerry and Julie Craycraft; Wooster coach Jen Snowbarger; and USA Volleyball summer coach Jim Park and teammate Jenna Pew, who's helped lead Smithville into the Div. III State Final Four.

"It's pretty exciting because at the beginning of high school I had no idea I'd be playing college volleyball, let alone Div. I," said Jade, a Div. I All-State honoree.

"Getting a Div. I scholarship in any sport is without a doubt a great accomplishment," Snowbarger said. "I'm really proud of Jade and think she'll be an excellent college player when she goes back to her natural position, setter.

"She sacrificed a lot for us this season and played middle hitter because that's where we needed her most and that's what kind of team player she is. That kind of team-first attitude will help her in college, too."
