my dad (in chicago) has actually heard a couple of times on the radios there how Obama Lost, not that Chicago Lost but that Obama lost, and its sending schockwaves through people.

I tell you, it's just shocking to think that after all these months Obama has spent going around the country talking about what an awful country America is, that the IOC would not want to have the Olympics here. Shocking, I say!

I didn't really care about the Obama factor here. I just really wanted to be able to travel to the Olympics with my family. My son will be 8 in 2016. That would have been a lot of fun. Bummer.

By the way, I'm NOT going to fly to Rio only to be shot on the way to the city from the airport.

I just got back from the Chicago area where I was visiting relatives. There is certainly disappointment among some, but I can vouch for the fact that far from everyone there is upset the games are not coming, and some are quite happy about it.
