We don't need TV to increase exposure of our athletics teams, that's what we use the NCAA and ODAC Tournaments for. We also webcast some of our games, so anyone with high speed internet can go online and watch some of our games for free. We don't need TV and neither does D3 as a whole.
True. This is exactly why Hampden-Sydney College has such an impressive national following. If there were only one or two less sporting events available on the internet, I'm sure they would be even bigger, perhaps even a global draw. You would be able to stop anyone on city streets the world over and ask them what sports they cared about and it would be FIFA, the NFL and the ODAC in that order.
Well, Hampden-Sydney does pretty good on the field without having any tv or even local media coverage. Hampden-Sydney is doing just fine in D3 without TV coverage, just like all of the other top tiered D3 schools like Williams, Middlebury, Amherst, Cortland, Emory, TCNJ, Tufts, Messiah, etc.
