Incidentally, @TheOtherCurry is on Twitter.

I just want to point out that back on the old Firehouse I was a voice crying in the wilderness for LU to start recruiting Hasheem back in his sophomore season of HS when no one was paying any attention to him.

Ricky Rubio will be going #3, the Thunder are working on a buyout for his European contract.

I've thought about that before, and surely he would have been dominant for us just because of his size and athleticism, but do you really think he would have developed into an NBA quality center under our staff from that time? He was pretty bad as a freshman.

I picked Rubio as going #2. I would hope Gerald henderson would be #1, but like that will happen.

Only way Rubio is going #2 is if there is a trade.
A league executive tells 1050 ESPN New York's Andrew Marchand that the Grizzlies will not take Ricky Rubio with the No. 2 pick.

But it's not like they have their minds made up.

The source said Memphis likes Hasheem Thabeet, Tyreke Evans, James Harden and Johnny Flynn. Thabeet is the most likely pick, among the four, even though he couldn't participate in a recent workout due to a sore shoulder.

The Knicks are also reportedly interested in trading up for Rubio. Two league executives told Marchand the Knicks like Stephen Curry more than Rubio. A third source says if Arizona forward Jordan Hill is available the Knicks are high on him as well.

The T'Wolves certainly shook some things up...I think they'll def. take Curry at #5 (if he's still there).

I think Thabeet is the guy at #2...Harden goes #3 to OKC.

Potential trades, which might include the No. 2 overall pick, still are in play for the Memphis Grizzlies as the draft nears. A team insider described the Grizzlies' chances of making a deal to The Commercial Appeal as "50-50" on or before Thursday.

Curry has invited his parents, sister, girlfriend and McKillop to be in the green room with him on draft night. Before that he’s scheduled time to be with his father, who turns 45 on Thursday.
Oddly enough his brother isn't mentioned. You'd think he'd be there.

Rumors are swirling that the Timberwolves want to package two of their draft picks (they hold #'s 5, 6, 18 and 28) to acquire the #2 pick.
The Wolves reportedly aren't interested in giving up both the #5 and #6 pick, since their main interest is in having two lottery selections. The Journal-Times indicates they would select Ricky Rubio with the #2 pick, though Hasheem Thabeet would also be a possibility. Jun. 24 - 9:56 am et
That's the only way I see Rubio getting picked #2. It would make absolute sense for them since they need a PG, Telfair is serviceable, but he's not a starter.

The Trail Blazers have agreed to trade draft picks No. 24 and 56, along with the worst of their second round picks in 2010, to the Mavericks in exchange for pick No. 22 in Thursday's draft.
And Jamal Crawford was traded to the Hawks. Not sure where he fits in, he's not a PG, an the Hawks already have Joe Johnson at SG.

Well now Chad Ford is saying Rubio isn't going #3 at all
I'm told OKC will take Hasheem Thabeet at No. 3 if he's there, though there are concerns that he'll struggle on a team where he's the No. 1 post option. I'm also told that if Thabeet's not there, the Thunder will take James Harden. GM Sam Presti loves Ricky Rubio, but he knows Russell Westbrook will be angered to the point of wanting out if OKC drafts another PG.

The NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers will likely unload at least one of their three draft picks.

They have the 29th pick in the first round and the 42nd and 59th picks in the second round of Thursday's draft.

General manager Mitch Kupchak said Wednesday that there was a "better than even likelihood" the team would get rid of its first-round pick.

• Louisville's Terrence Williams has a right to be upset. After working out against Gerald Henderson on Monday in Charlotte, Williams thought he got a promise to be drafted by Charlotte at No. 12. Larry Brown had fallen in love with him, and Williams was confident enough that he skipped a workout the next day with New Jersey.

Then Michael Jordan showed up. According to sources, Jordan isn't a big Williams fan and would prefer the Bobcats either trade the pick or draft Wake Forest's James Johnson.

Can't wait to see how that one turns out.

• Wake Forest's Johnson and Italy's Jennings could be in for one seriously wild ride on draft night.

Johnson is getting a look by the Warriors (7), Raptors (9), Bobcats (12), Suns (14), Bulls (16), Jazz (20) and Hornets (21). Think that's a big range?

How about Jennings, who will get looks from the Timberwolves (6), Warriors (7), Knicks (8), Bucks (10), Suns (14), Sixers (17) and Hawks (19)?

Rumor is Rudy Gay is pitching hard for Thabeet. If they can't trade out of #2, they really don't have much of a choice but to take Thabeet. Conley played well down the stretch last year and Mayo can't play the point. They need defensive help.

Exactly why they don't need a PG (plus Conley is on my strat-o-matic team and is my PG of the future after drafting him #4 last summer...). And of course Rudy Gay is pitching for him, they are both UCONN guys...

Also, the Grizz are going to deal Dartko to NY for Quentin Richardson and cash. So they don't need another wing player and absolutely have to get a post now - darko isn't exactly stellar, but he played big minutes for them last year and those minutes have to be replaced somehow.

The Knicks have reportedly purchased the Lakers' No. 29 pick in Thursday's draft.
New York is targeting a point guard with their No. 8 selection (ideally Stephen Curry) and is expected to target a big man with their newly acquired No. 29 pick. Details of the transaction should emerge soon.

ESPN is reporting that Ricky Rubio's buyout from his Spanish team is expected to be somewhere around $3 million.
That should completely clear the way for him to play in the NBA next season and the consensus is that the Thunder will take him with the No. 3 pick. There are also rumors that they'll then trade him to the Knicks for David Lee at some point, which would allow Russell Westbrook to continue to run the point for the Thunder.

You can buy somebody's pick? Retarded. Every commissioner of every sport but football is so stupid for not copying exactly how they operate, with the exception of rookie contracts.

I read that David Stern made a rule that you cant trade or sell your first round pick in consecutive years. They traded their first rounder in 2008 and 2010, so I guess what they are actually doing is picking whoever the Knicks want there then purchasing the rights to that player.
