Avg. Attendance all season for Atlanta= 31,269 ranked #14 in the MLB
Avg. Attendance all season for Florida=16,688 Ranked LAST in MLB.

Thanks for playing :)
I was talking about the Fish winning the World Series...doesn't matter to me how many butts are in the seats...I watch baseball to see what happens on the field, not to see how many people are in the stadium.

I believe I took care of that part of the argument with the "go 15 years straight in the playoffs and then we'll be impressed..." i could be wrong though...

Yeah, hiding behind attendance numbers is pretty weak.

I'll take rings over sell-outs any day.

Also, hiding behind 15 straight division titles is weak, especially when the Marlins won the WS coming out of that same division the Braves won 15 times... TWICE.

Braves have the same amount of rings as Florida. 1. I'm not gonna argue with a yankee fan about rings. or with a boston fan. I will argue with a Marlin fan who had one good year and won a world series. Yea Atl might have choked a lot in the playoffs but hey at least we can say we've been there a lot. Florida not so much.

I don't think the Braves choked in the playoffs (except 96). They were built for the regular season. They just didn't have the team to play well in October.

It will all pan out in October. Forgive a lifelong Atlanta Native for being excited to be seeing the Braves beating the World series champs on opening day.

I hope you Mets get a coach like McKay.

Not sure what that means or how it applies....

Just felt like saying it because I have no comebacks. The Braves are bad in the postseason, no excuses. But they dominated you all during the season. And they will again.

as a bills fan i laugh at any team that boasts about "getting to the playoffs consecutively in such and such years" sorry you are a loser.

and it just so happens that most braves fans are uberlosers.

Heck, the Marlins have won more championships than the City of Atlanta (Thrashers: none. Flames: none, then they relocated. Hawks: none in Atlanta. Falcons: None. Braves? One in Atlanta).

That's pretty pathetic. ONE championship in the city's history. General Sherman should have finished the job and spared the town of any future embarrassment.

As a Braves fan myself I will admit that its only slightly less depressing than being a Cubs fan.

Derek Lowe looked awesome last night. 8 IP, 2 H, 0 ER. I'm kind of surprised they didn't send him back out in the 9th to get the shutout. His pitch count was only at 97. I know it's early and you don't want to wear him down but to start the year with a shutout would be big.

Looks like the Sox got rained out today. No big deal. My Heels are cutting down the nets tonight.
