Jerry Jr. made the announcement today in convo that Seth would be going to Duke. I have no idea why you would do that esp since Seth was most likely in attendance today and would hear a lot of negative reactions from a lot of people.....

things must have changed since I was at LU. 0% chance that any basketball player was at convo on a Monday. Unless you count being back in the players lounge as being there. It is in the building after all.

actually he goes to convo quite often, he hangs out near the section by the stage afterwards just talking with people which is why i know he goes..... so idk, maybe he wasnt there today but normally he is

I agree completely. Every person on this board should read it. Every student at Liberty that thinks we should move up to the ACC tomorrow should read it. I even know some other people that need to read it. Thank God that our athletics administration would agree with 95% (if not more) of what Chris wrote.

I know opposing fans (many different schools) on their respective message boards are laughing at dook over this. They say dook went from choosing whoever they want (K saying "some play for conference championships....we play for national championships) to taking a transfer from the Big South (I'm not knocking the Big South...their words, not mine).

Coach K is excellent at finding players to fit his system. The players are intelligent, for the most part. His plays are well-run.

I think the point is, for as heralded as Duke players are in college, that doesn't translate to a successful pro career. And that's not a shot at Duke; Tyler Hansborough could go down as one of the best college players in history (if he wins a championship, he has to be in that conversation). But no one in the NBA is biting their nails and hoping that they can scoop him up in the draft.

Actually, I saw Curry there, I sit behind the stage, and he was sitting across from me in section 112. It was kinda funny when a lot of people booed after Jr. made the announcement. Made my day.

This has been pleasant and professional.

I live near Duke and keep up with UNC & Duke very closely. As great as Duke BB is and as great as Coach K is --- you've never heard anything until you experience Coach K's temper and foul mouth. Seth is in for a rude awakening.

I know...That's the one thing about Duke Bball that bothers me, but as a Duke (and of course Liberty) fan, I am extremely glad that Seth aint goin to UNC or WF or VT or whatever- I was a little worried there!

(For the record, LU's #1 and Duke comes in at a very close #2 in my book.)

If I knew Seth (or even if I didn't know Seth) I surely would not say ANYTHING negative to him. He could hook me up with some Duke tickets in the future, or better yet NBA tickets!

(although I think the NBA is a DEFINITE long shot)

Of course I can understand people booing him though!
