I'd take Larry Blair's freshman year over Curry's any day. Winning by 40 in the finals??? MONEY

Its about a kid (another reminder, you're blasting a 19 year old?) who wants to push himself on the most competitive stage possible. He helped the flames to a great year - one that likely wouldn't have been as successful without him.

You all talk about loyalty - how he USED you. We (well, you - since i won't wade into your "Christian values"-based mosh pit again) could spend days debating who gets "used" in college athletics, the institution or the player. I wish Seth the best - he's a talented young man who is doing what we wish more kids had the guts to do - push himself to the limits of his ability.

Peace, haters.
Seth's a good kid and the Curry's seem like a nice family. I wish him well, but I don't necessarily wish him success, especially if he goes to Duke.

LOL!!! You see, this is what happens when your coach teaches you to take a charge for the team...you get posterized and immediately placed on Youtube!

Edit: This reminds me of Kobe and Steve Nash.

One post and this is all you've got. Weak

You also should check your basic facts as he's not 19.

Unbelievable how so many posters can try to flog Christians with their own values while they could easily be sacrificing a goat with the hand that isn't typing.

This doesn't have anything to do with Christian values. It has to do with a basketball player thinking he is too good for the only conference that wanted him.

There comes a point where we're just used to that stuff. A lot of people don't understand how we can love someone but hate what they do. They think because we hate what they do that we hate the person as well.

Agreed. It's pretty easy for outsiders to come in and tell us about our Christianity.

I've been asking myself if I would or would not have done the same thing if I had the opportunity, and I can't say that I wouldn't have. If any of us were Division I talent, but didn't get recruited by the school we wanted, and did really well at another school and the school we wanted (or school in the conference we wanted to be in) called and said they'd reconsidered, would or would you not transfer?

I can't say that I wouldn't...not sure that I would, but definitely can't say that I wouldn't.

That isn't the point at all. If I did that to a school, I would fully expect their students and alumni to hate me.

Imagine how a secular school would be reacting to this. Imagine the types of things he would be hearing and what would be said about him. Us saying "baby Judas" as a joke is nothing.

Exactly. People here love to use Duke as an example. Imagine if a player was leaving Duke to play somewhere else he thought was better somehow. They'd probably be burning things. The thing to me is, it flies in the face of what college athletics is supposed to be all about. It's like he's a free agent going to the highest bidder. That's what turns many of us off to the pros. I can only speak for myself...but I'd much rather be a legend and hero at a mid major than a "remember that guy" at a big school, for what it's worth. But really and truly, you are right, that is irrelevant to our anger and disappointment.

If another school called and reconsidered, then wouldn't that be a major violation? So either there's been a violation or the player put out feelers first.

A lot of people didn't like me because I left. But, a lot like Seth, it was because of how I handled it.

I have no problems with dudes getting paid, but the pro's just don't play basketball. Its a show.
