Basketball: What boys do during MENS' Wrestling season...
Good point. Real men roll around on the floor with other sweaty guys in spandex and try to stick their fingers in places where the sun doesn't shine.

no. they get up early, work out hard. offer no excuses and blame no one but themselves when they lose. they work their butts off for 4 years in HS so that they can have the honor of wrestling for the college institution that they idolized while growing up. when they lose, they often go run 8 to 10 miles because they are mad at themselves. one kid this year did that AFTER completely tearing his ACL.
Bottom line: They don't throw childish fits about not getting to score enough, or not having hard enough competition. they don't whine about the team not supporting them, or the school not being good enough to get them where they want to be - despite having made a comittment to that school and its fans. Wrestlers suck it up and deal with disappointment and then get better. They don't go sulk, whine, think about whats best for "ME" and then go transfer. It's about hard work and integrity. Something you don't see very much (if at all) on the hardwood.
Case in point: Anthony Robles @ Arizona State

btw, this is him defeating an Iowa Wrestler in the second round.

and in case you're wondering, he runs an 8 min mile on crutches. If bball players had this kind of work ethic and determination, I'd be a fan.
