Another local police officer was killed this afternoon, struck from behind on a traffic stop.

He was 37 years of age and leaves behind a wife and 3 children.

Please keep his family and all of us in your thoughts and prayers today and tonite.

Heard about that driving home today. Too many cops in this area have lost their lives in the last year or so.

Chris makes the 6th officer to die in the line of duty in this area since Sgt. Liczbinski's death last May.
4 of the officers killed were from Philly. Many others have been shot but survived, including an Abington Twp officer who was shot several times around Christmas time last year.

its sad how many cops get struck while doing routine traffic stops simply because people are too stupid to either slow down or get into the other lane if possible...can't imagine what the family is going through

been a great showing of support so far- last nite saw about 50 additional officers volunteering their time to patrol Chris's district so the guys on his platoon could have the night off.

Services next Wed/Thurs- I know my way to the Cathedral Basilica of Sts Peter/Paul by heart now. Truly sad.
