That's because we never had a confirmed verbal from him unlike SirChauncey.

either he is ridiculousy fast or those defenses have concrete blocks for feet. It didnt surprise me to see him take it east to west successfully (lots of backs in HS can do that). He had several right up the gut that looked pretty impressive. Looks to me like another Bj hayes type player

An interesting tidbit:
Due to a zoning dispute during his senior season at Armwood High School in Seffner, Fla., Holloway, who is the brother-in-law of the Baltimore Ravens’ Ray Lewis, had to sit out.

For kids focused on the studies or just intent on playing spring football at their new college campus this is becoming increasingly commonplace.

If a HS player wants to get PT as a true Freshman, getting his diploma early and enrolling for the Spring term (and of course, Spring practice) gives him a HUGE leg up on being able to learn the system and show the coaches what they can do. Most good students can pull it off if they look ahead starting their Junior year and take extra classes and summer school.

In districts with block scheduling, you don't even have to take extra classes.

In North Carolina, for example, you're required 28 credits to graduate. If you pass every class, you can get those 28 credits in seven semesters, leaving your last semester free.

Welcome to the board, howyoudoin.

I'm anxious to see how he looks in spring ball. You know he has to be hungry to get on the field after his long wait.

St. Petersburg Times wrote:Arguably the most touching moment was when Calvin Holloway, whose son Sirchauncey was ruled ineligible by the Florida High School Athletic Association for 2008 after transferring from Plant City, stood at a lectern and apologized to those in attendance.

"I'm sorry I caused the school trouble," Calvin Holloway said. "He got suspended from sports because of me."

Sirchauncey never played a game for Armwood, but coach Sean Callahan was instrumental in not only helping him to stay motivated and in shape, but helping him land at Liberty University. Sirchauncey enrolled three weeks ago, and his father said he's doing well.

"It was a blow when that happened," Calvin Holloway said of the FHSAA ruling. "They said he couldn't play sports for 365 days. Callahan called Liberty and they asked him to orally commit. Western Kentucky called him, Michigan called him, but he wanted to stay with the school that committed to him. ...Everything got better when he got here."
