Don't leave us hanging, BJ: your readers want to know the 'rest of the story'. Does it involve your dating a deaf girl?
Actually no. Back in 2003 I was looking for one last elective to get to full time status. I had met a young lady in my GNED 102 class who was deaf and the way the seating worked out we sat next to each other so her interpreter would be sitting there at teh front interpreting lectures for her. So when it came time to register for classes I thought that sign language would be a pretty fun thing to try so I signed up for it at LU (CHMN 171). I took the class and it was a very wonderful experience. But I didnt know if there were any other classes beyond that at the time, AND I wanted to focus on the other general education classes and on finding the major I wanted so I didnt take anymore. Finally, three years later, I was able to work out being able to take sign language but I was out of practice so I reregistered for 171 so I could get better at it again. Around that time I also had noticed there was a section in chapel where people were doing sign language so I talked to my RA and got permission to start sitting there and practicing my sign language. Well as the weeks progressed the Lord did a work in me and as I started learning songs and signing to them, I found myself becoming more and more expressive in my signs in convo and eventually in campus church. Before too long I had people start coming up to me and saying how they noticed me signing in convocation and how they found it awesoem that someone was able to express themselves so much in worshipping the Lord. So sign language started out as an interest for me and now its my way of giving back to God and praising him for who he is and has been in my life.

And now you know...the REST of the story

I've known Patrick for years and he does have a great story. He works so hard at his jobs, college, and praying for others. He's very enthusiastic about God and Liberty.

There is this Old Guy. (sorry if you are on here, i am just a messanger) Okay, sorry about that. He is this old guy, I know nothing but appearance, but they are goofy. He wears HUGE sunglasses, like the ones the doctors give you, and a Navy hat all the time. He is always carrying 5 or 6 bags around campus. He has these black pants that show about 3 inches of his white sox. (EARMUFFS). And these same pants give him a terrible case of male cammel toe. (EARMUFFS OFF).

He rides the bus so I see him near Kroger on Fort Ave. alot.

Its kinda like wilson on the Home Improvement show. You never see his full face. The whole upper part of his face is covered with the glasses. Anyone got the inside scoop on this guy, so that I can feel like a terrible human being for writing all of this.
