It's the same as it's always been. We're a Christian school and founded by Falwell and they hold it against us. It was blatant 10+ years ago with the Southern Conference, just like it was/is with some schools in this area not wanting to schedule us and now with the playoffs. At least in basketball most of the state schools have played us and still do. But with football, it was only recently that W&M scheduled us and we still haven't played Richmond yet.
Anyone who says that the type of school we are doesn't play a part in this hasn't been paying attention the last 20 years.
I completely disagree. The vintage 80's fundie siege mentality is as misplaced as it is narcissistic...
If any you think this is just more evidence of something that's been "going on for the last 20 years", I would say that your head is currently lodged in the same orifice it was lodged in 20 years ago.
