I'm a pretty typical Northeastearner-- crabby, impatient, always in a hurry, talk fast, and can be short with people etc. Everyone down south is all laid back and nice, its feels weird. I'm always like why is everyone being so nice to me, I'm not used to this.

ToTheLeft wrote:Sorry I cant resist- I guess we arent at your level after all, as our level is 14 points better then your level. Yes this is a big win for us as you are a highly ranked team, but calling it an epic upset in laughable. You guys are clearly the best team in the Big South, and even after the win Lafayette is by no means a lock to win the Patriot League. Colgate and Holy Cross are equally as talented as we are, and Fordham and Lehigh are no slouches.Rooster Cogburn wrote:Rankings mean about as much as me walking to class to try to lose weight after dropping 15 bucks at Taco Bell for lunch.ToTheLeft wrote:Very Challenging?4-1 and chomping at the rankings?
What makes you say that?
And they just aren't on our level... they're a Patriot League team, and while they are good in their conference against teams like themselves, they just aren't at . A loss would be DEVASTATING for us.
This is a school that does not have "Scholarships", and that holds to EXTREMELY high academic standards. They are a quality program, but this would be an epic upset for them. I hope they compete, I haven't seen a good game at the Bill yet, but I just don't see it happening.
That being said...
LU- 21
Laf- 3
(They have a solid defense, but the offense just won't be there)
Edit: I took a little off our score. just looked, and their defense is REALLY good.

Compliment us or not but that was a jerk call on your part. You're a disgrace to the polite LC fans I've met all day if you're gonna come on here and pull that crap.

Harvard outproduced the Leopards in stats and score; instead we beat you all in the categories of stats and mistakes. Great game by your team Franks; I think your coaches and players did a great job. Based on what you guys have been saying on your blog, I'm betting that all the semi-negative comments about Tavani and his typical smash mouth-no flair offense is just good disinformation!
My prediction was wrong by 27 points and I blew the att. by 1000. Just a losing effort all the way around.

It was a hard fought game between two good teams, but the result had nothing to do with luck. We made the plays when it mattered most. Also I never said we are far better then you, just that our League is no cake walk as some like to make it appear. Again, I understand you made some "mistakes" but our guys also made plays to force those mistakes.
But you guys have to feel more then lucky coming away with a win today, you know good and well this team didnt play 50% of what they normally do and we were 3 yards away from this being a completely different game.
You won, and these are all excuses....but let's please not act like your team is far greater....you were better today...dont look for that to be the case if we were to play 100 more times.

Hold My Own wrote:No--we certainly arent a more talented team then you, I would say the talent level overall is pretty equal except for your stud RB. However we controlled the pace of the game for the bulk of the contest. You didnt lead once the whole way I believe. We made some big plays, but that is what good teams do. Of cousre we are not the better team every day of the week, my point is simply that Lafayette and the PL in general is much better then anyone around here gave us credit for--thats all.Franks Tanks wrote:Hold My Own wrote:Did you win....yesIn case you didnt notice we had a ton of guys injured today. And I absolutely hate it when people do what I just did, b/c most of the time we have others coming on here and saying the same things I just did....but there have been wins in the past where I felt we werent the better team and we got lucky....theres no way in the world you can objectively say that you guys are the better team every day of the week...like I said, you were better today but bro come on we all saw the game

The Big South as it stands now (with the exception of LU) is a two-bit football league with a poser commish.

Fumblerooskies wrote:Well Coastal really seemed to having it going there for a bit, but it appears the wheels have come off. You have a very good team, but it appears the rest of the league may be holding Liberty and Coastal back a bit. Once the auto-bid is secured it should help the Chuck South and Gardner Webb's of the world improve. Stoney Brook has a lot of potential, they can build a nice program there. I have no idea how Presby will fare and VMI is VMI.Franks Tanks wrote:. Hold My Own wrote:Well I wasnt even predicting a Lafayette win myself as we havent played a really good game yet this year. I thought the overall talent level was pretty similar with Liberty having a few "game breakers" that we may lack. I completely agree with that. I posted in the predictions thread that I heard you guys were onto something there. I thought it was defense only, but you're QB proved there is more then just defense in that program. Your coach's put you guys in a position to win and you're players made the big plays...we didnt....AT ALL and that's a tough pill to swallow
but I agree with you, you guys certainly made the most out of playing a top 25 team and walked away with one of your bigger wins this season...so congrats on that
