Larry pulled his name out of the draft and will return for a senior season. If he shows the type of progress during his senior season that he showed the past three years then I wouldn't rule anything out. The man can flat out score.

during the spring open gyms LB spent alot of time bringing the ball up and working on his passing and ball handling.

Anthony smith is also starting to work on his ball handling aswell.

And as to larry blair in the NBA.... He has to have a nasty year this year and lead LU to the Bigsouth championship, then he might be considered a 2 round pick....

I think he's got an outside chance. I think he's similiar to Eddie House of Phoenix. To small to be a full-time SG but not good enough to be a PG. I think LB can go somewhere and provide some instant offense for someone.

If Blair makes it, it won't be because of his offense. He will have to show that he can handle the ball under pressure at least and that he can guard quick defenders but also be tough to stay in front of himself. That last part won't be a problem. He is very difficult to keep in front of you and his off balance acrobatic style will serve him well in the open game of the NBA. If you can offer the NBA something specific you have a good chance of making it and that for Larry is his quickness. Rajon Rondo is not a good shooter but he was a first round pick because of his quickness at both ends of the court. The league is moving towards the smaller quick guards like Nash, Terry, Devon Harrison and Wade. The 6-8 shooting guard is slowly going away for the quicker combo backcourt. The other thing is that Larry will have to be able to guard bigger guys from posting him and scoring at will. The last thing a coach wants to see is 1 guy getting picked on because of his size. Earl Boykins gets posted and scored on a few times a game but he will also steal the post entry pass or make it tougher than it looks like it should be at times. The NBA knows who Larry is and he will get a shot. Drafted? Only time will tell. He has to have a good senior year. I really hope he makes it because I would feel like a family member did it! Though he will probably forget who I am once he crosses over to the big leagues (kidding).

If Larry really wants to get drafted, he should go play in Europe, change his name to something with eight syllables and a lot of consonants and then tell everyone he's 17-years old. This pretty much guarantees that he will go in the first round.
